I do not. What's up, guys? It's Babcock here, the TMZ newsroom. We're getting ready to do the show today. Mojo is once again. I'm great. Harvey, how are you? He is once. Thank you. Uh, thank you, Keith. He is Mojo once again on the road. You know, people often said that about Let's get this up. So, we not reading the stories before they go up. Uh, Steve, you there? I am here. Yep. Okay. I want to go over what's in store for today. Yeah. Let's Let's do it. See final day here. Really? Uh we're gonna start with a big story that that we broke on the website last week last week last night. Raja Jackson that crazy wrestling attack a month ago finally uh finally arrested. Okay. All the details plus we're going to hear from Rampage his reaction to Yeah. It's interesting because Rampage has he streams a lot on kick and I think the night that the attack happened, we had live Rampage Jackson reaction and we have had a lot of reaction because again as these things happen, Rampage often times is on this stream.
So you really get his his firsthand reaction to these things and I mean yeah this is his son. You know you can think it's it's as ugly as you want what happened inside the wrestling ring but bottom line that's Roger Jackson's Rampage's son. So yeah, I'm looking forward to hearing what Rampage had to say about Raj's arrest. Okay, so that's A1, Steve.
Yep. A big story all week. A2, uh, Stefon Diggs, Cardi B, having a baby. Uh, Stefan surprised her in New York as her album came out late last night, right? Am I the drama? The name, which is fitting because there's some more drama surrounding Digs and pregnancies, children. Got it, etc., etc. Okay, sounds good. Then we'll do a great clip of Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson. We know that he was critical and said that the league, the NFL did not want teams to draft Shador Sanders. Now he's going at the Cleveland Browns. Pretty pretty pretty over Shador over Shadore and just more the organization and that Shadore basically shouldn't be there. They they should cut him. Wow. Let him let him loose and just find the team elsewhere. See see see what fits. Okay. Exactly. Wow. Love that. Okay. Uh biggest story in our world in college football is Bill Bichc, Jordan Hudson's relationship. They It's It's calmed down a little bit because they won backtoback games, but um we're going to hear from Devontes Walker, the Ravens receiver who caught two touchdowns last week.
Okay. Before being in the NFL, though, he played for the Tar Heels. Got it. So, he has an interesting take on on Jordan and Bill. And for what it's worth, Tez is actually younger than Jordan Hudson. Wow. And he's in his second year in the league. Okay, got it. And then uh big big weekend in wrestling. Actually, AW and WWE have pay-per-views. Uh WWE wrestle Palooa the first time. Cody Rhodess defending his undisputed championship against Drew McIntyre on Saturday. You're not going to believe though what he says is the key why he'll win this match on Saturday. I I like that. We're have a little debate, an age-old debate there. But when you guys are ready, uh we will begin with Raja. Okay, here let me just let me get my notes right ready here for Raja. So this happened on Okay, hang on one sec. Let me look up when this happened. match. The match was on August 23rd.
August 23rd. Yeah. So, it's literally like a month now. Yeah. You know, I think it I I think this was a complicated investigation because the fact that it was at a wrestling event made it hard to kind of wade through and figure out what's real, what's not, what's planned, what wasn't planned. I think that was challenging. And also, I think if you looked at some of these reports, there were a lot of people who said that the people around that Knox uh pro academy were told not to talk to police.
I don't know if that's true or not, but those are what the reports indicated. And that obviously is something that could also slow down the investigation. So, I think that's why yeah, ultimately what it takes, right, just a couple days shy of a month to get an arrest. Now, we'll see what happens. We'll see if those charges are the charges modified or there's an arrest. Now, does he ultimately get charged with something even more serious? We will get into that here. What's up, David? Okay. All right, Steve. So, you want to get this going in a second here? Yeah, let's get it going. Yeah, that's it. Also, I'm dying to talk about Jimmy Kimmel and his show and Trump's involvement. And so if anyone wants to talk about that, let me know.
Let me know on uh I I I don't like the government getting involved in in free speech issues. I don't think that the government should tell anybody, you can have a show, you can't have a show. I I think even if you say I hate what Jimmy Kimmel said and and I am in that group. I I don't like what Jimmy Kimmel said. It was first of all it wasn't accurate. I think it was just BS. But at the same time I think you've got to realize too that there will if you love Donald Trump more than anything. You got to realize that there will be a next administration and the next one after that and if if if we're just going to completely abandon free speech, uh you know it's going to come back and and it's going to bite you. I mean, what I've said on our shows a lot of times is that, you know, these are these are uh many times, you know, kind of rules or situations that the, you know, I think the Democrats have set up, you know, with cancel cancel culture.
Yeah. And now some people on the left are feeling that as some Republicans are calling on people to be canceled. So, the pendulum always swings back is my point. I I don't think the government should be involved in cancelling or telling uh television networks or anybody else what they can or cannot say. The Biden administration did it, too. They did it with Facebook. They tried to censor people. They did censor people over CO. So, it's not unique to the Trump administration. I don't think that anybody in America should do that. Same time, if ABC just made the decision because they thought that his ratings weren't good, I'm cool with that. I have no problem with them saying no, you know, we're not we're paying him a lot of money. We're not getting the ratings and we don't like what he said and because of that, we're pulling the plug and that's that's their prerogative because he's not, you know, the Constitution doesn't guarantee Jimmy Kimmel a TV show. It's just not how it goes.
So yeah, I guess it all depends on on what you believe happened here. Was this the FCC and Trump putting pressure on ABC? If that's the case, I don't like it at all. And uh if they just made the decision, hey, I mean, I think it also is just like it's if if it is due to the the you know, the rating situation which they're claiming, you know, or like you know, wouldn't be like you said an acceptable reason to cancel a TV show and stuff. I think the timing of it just could not be worse. It's like there are just so many things where if you if you would have done this obviously we're still in the wake of this entire like tragedy that happened and I feel like with that being said if something like this cancellation would have happened you know like in the weeks prior to it that's a completely different story like in the coar you know situation it was a ratings thing you know but it was also it was but it didn't get as much like you know flak for being a free speech issue or speaking out against the the Trump administration if you were to wait 3 weeks from now then that becomes a different situation as well because you know then like it dies down a bit but right now there's a lot of hypocrisy on on every side of the spectrum.
I agree. Um I and it's just kind of hard to gauge because it's like we nobody's giving straight answers. Everybody's hearing everybody's going to hear what they want to hear ultimately, you know. Absolutely. Right. Which is I think that's that hits on a larger issue with with America and politics right now and and really around the world is that Oh, absolutely. You know, everything is so tribal now and um yeah, we could badly use something to to bring us back together. Yeah, Steve. Let's do Raja here. Raja Jackson. Okay. Uh, arrested yesterday morning. Uh, that should be B- roll, Steve. Right. Ed, I'll come to you with the info here. Y. Yeah, let's do it. Steve, welcome to TMC Sports. Babcock here. Raja Jackson, Rampage Jackson's son has finally been arrested in Los Angeles almost a month, Ed, after that absolutely brutal attack at that Knox wrestling event again in Los Angeles. I think we thought this was going to happen. It took a couple of weeks, but yesterday morning he finally taken into custody.
Yeah. At around 9:00 a.m., uh, we're told cops executed a arrest warrant at his house in Huntington Beach, California, which is obviously far from Los Angeles. It's a bit far. It's Yeah. 30 40 mi away. Uh, they transported him up to a jail in Pquima, and booked him on a charge of felony battery causing serious bodily injury. Uh, uh, he stayed there for several hours. And this morning when I woke up, I I I talked to a jail official who told me he bonded out at some point overnight. Uh he was held on $50,000 bond for for those hours, but he made it out and and now he's uh I guess free until uh we go to trial in this case if charges are actually filed, right? So I think a couple things here.
One, it is a felony. That's uh you know uh a little bit of a debate. Was it going to be a misdemeanor? Could it was it going to be a felony charge? At the same time, I know there was a lot of people, I think Harvey is one of the people that believes that this should have um ultimately been attempted murder, not just a felony battery. You'll recall on August 23rd, he picked up Psycho Stew, the wrestler, and slammed him on his head. And as he was unconscious, he punched him upwards of 20, 21, 22 times. And the only reason he stopped, or the only reason it appeared he stopped was four, five, six other wrestlers pulled him off. So that's where the the theory is. Was he perhaps undercharged or under booked on this for for this and not maybe perhaps he should have been booked on a murder? Oh, and I remember you remember it as we watched the video as they were trying to tug Raja off of Psycho Stew.
I mean, he was he he did not want to go. I mean, he wanted to continue the attack and and you see him and and uh thankfully there were other people there otherwise I I don't know what would have happened. I mean he was Psycho Stew was unconscious from the second he hit that you know the the ring floor. He was out and every single one of those punches was to an unconscious person. They were big punches. They were heavy punches. He is a MMA fighter. He fine is not Jon Jones, at least not at this point. But the bottom line is that Raja Jackson is a powerful guy who knows how to fight. And uh Psycho Stew was unconscious, his wife said when he got to the hospital still all that time later goes to show how bad his injuries were.
Now uh Rampage Jackson likes to stream. He's been streaming a lot lately. He does it on kick. He was actually streaming. He was speaking with his fans as he reacted to the Raja Jackson arrest news. Here's Dad. How's it? He's doing okay. He's doing okay. All right. He at home now. Okay. Thank you. Hey, heed up. Heed up though. Heed up. He got He got to learn his lesson. We're with you, brother. I didn't want to chime in, but you already know. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, it is what it is. All I can do is be a dad.
You know what I'm saying? He don't listen to me. All I But all at the end of the day, he can't say that I didn't, you know, I didn't do what I was supposed to do as a dad. So, there it is. And I'll I'll say this about Rampage. Rampage has placed some of the blame on Psycho Stew. We said that Psycho Stew never should have hit Raja with that beer can. That was a a little bit of time. Unclear exactly how much time before the incident happened in the ring, but Raja Rampage rather has not really made a whole bunch of excuses for Raja. He said, "Look, he he made a mistake here and he's going to have to pay the price." This charge, the felony battery is a charge that could potentially, if he's convicted, carry a couple of years in prison.
Now, if it is ultimately an attempted murder charge, obviously we're talking about something that it's a different ballgame. It's it's far more serious. And then you could be looking at, you know, a very, very long time behind bars here. Raja Jackson, he's 25 years old. He's not a kid. So, something that he's going to have to contend with. He has been arrested. We know uh that's that's done. That's a fact. We will see ultimately if and when he is charged. Now, you may ask, what's Psycho Stew's condition? How's the guy doing after taking all of those, you know, nearly two dozen punches? We have been told that he is doing better. He is recovering, but it's a long road and this is not going to be something where a day, a week, a month, and he's going to be back to normal. It's again, it's a long road to recovery for what were very serious injuries.
And that's a battle that psycho stew is contending with each day. So, uh, yeah, he's, uh, we talked to people, by the way, and they said he he said he was doing a lot better, but for the stream, got a little breaking news here. What do we got? Uh Jadeavian Clowney was arrested last Friday or last Thursday sometime last week uh in South Carolina. Just got his mug shot. Wow. That's uh There he is. Got that. We're going to put that on. Yeah. Posting this a little bit earlier. Yeah.
And uh there it is. Breaking news stuff for the stream there. Holy smoke. Instant reporters. Oh, he's at the uh Is he supposed to play? Uh so they talked Jerry Jones said yes. Brian Shottenheimer said maybe. Uh Well, we're going to go again. One might change. I think we've got our answer. For those watching the stream, he was arrested over apparent parking dispute. He he he wanted to park somewhere, was told he couldn't, still parked there nonetheless, and was apparently hit with two misdemeanor charges. I got to go through all this and I'll write this up now. That is so It seems that's what happened.
Wow. Crazy, right? Yeah. That talk about something that seemingly started out as very small and I know. How do you get Yeah. That doesn't make any good. How do you I feel like that's just a ticket. Yeah, she probably should have been. But look, we've seen I mean the you know the Terrell Sugg story a month, two months ago whenever we did that and yeah, these things start off as they Yeah. escalate quickly. Yeah. Wouldn't be surprised if learn some more information about that and something else. Uh yeah, maybe it wasn't as as simple as him just asking being asked to to leave, you know. All right, Steve. So, we still have time for A2. Yeah, we'll do we'll do Stefon Digs next and then two beats on that.
Him surprising Cardi B as their album was released and then also some more uh drama away from the field for the Patriots receiver. Got it. Just uh just B-roll. They're all all B-roll, right? Okay, Lucas, you you're gonna help me with this one? Yeah. Okay, so this is New York City just hours after the uh album drops. Correct. I am Am I the Drama? Am I the drama? Fitting title. What a name. Lucas, do you want to hit both of these beats here? Sure. Romantic gesture and then Yeah. Maybe another baby. Can't have anything. Can't have anything happy for too long. It's just It's what it seems like sometimes. Guys, can you look at Ed's slack? Babcock, did you catch that uh game last night? Yes, I did. And I I think a closer game than a lot of us thought. Oh, absolutely. Right. I Did you catch that moment when on the broadcast when they were talking about Tyreek Hill? I did. A lot of people had an issue with that.
That was a I Yeah, I also for reference during the broadcast, if you didn't catch the game, uh they were talking on the sideline after the Bills had scored a touchdown or Khalil Shakira had scored a touchdown and then it instantly went into them talking about the domestic violence allegations against Tyreek Hill. Yeah. Um the story by the way we broke remember that's part of the Tyreek Hill and Aikita divorce where she has now claimed on at least eight occasions that he got physical with her in some form or fashion.
I think look I don't have any issue with that them bringing it up. The reality is the NFL's investigating it. It's it's in fairness to Tyreek it's not a criminal issue right now in that it's a criminal investigation. This is just these are allegations that were made by his aranged wife in a divorce, right, in in in divorce documents. So, it may ultimately become a criminal investigation. And right now, it's an NFL investigation. I I don't have any problem with them bringing it up. Maybe you could argue the timing was weird with fourth quarter. And I think it was it was, you know, it was a close game. It was uh it was very much anyone's game at that point of point of it. Uh Tyreek Hill had actually had a good game, had a touchdown earlier.
Yeah. Um I I just think like the way that it was framed was a bit strange. It was very it was very much like Khalil Shakir to you know to take the lead of the game is like you know and then it went into it felt like one of those situations where they had decided before that you know hey we're going to bring this up here now and and then maybe in the moment it actually seemed a little bit weird. It's not lost on me too that it does seem like there was more outrage about Prime bringing that up uh as opposed to what Tyreek allegedly did. at least what Kea claims he did. So it felt a little strange because even on the broadcast, I forget who um who the broadcast crew was, but but one of the men talking about it during the It felt very much like they brought it up to talk about it and then he kind of just rushed through talking about it and then instantly it was like it was very like black, white being the conversation, then black again, you know, continuing the rest of it.
And it was it was just kind of like odd because it wasn't, you know, very detailed. It was just kind of like it very much felt like they someone told them to bring it up like you said. I I agree. I think that was the feeling that I got too. All right. So, yeah, we're gonna do so is moving on. Okay. So, her album comes out, Romantic Jester. Keith, I'm going to go probably quickly. I'll I'll move over to uh to Lucas. Yeah, because he's got both uh he's got both beats here.
Yeah. Uh Steve, you are pretty low in my ear, but yeah. Lucas. Yeah, I'm gonna go Yeah, I'm gonna go to Lucas. I'll say something to the effect of moving on to Cardi B. Big night last night for Cardi. Her album Am I the Drama dropped and Stefan Diggs, her boyfriend Stefan Diggs with a uh romantic gesture for her. That sound good, Lucas? Yeah, I'm gonna stand. Yeah, I'm gonna stand. Yep. And I'm just going to look over at Lucas. Okay, cool. Okay. Yeah. All right. Moving on to Cardi B, who had a big night last night because her album Am I the Drama dropped. And of course, it's been a a big couple of days for Cardi.
She announces the pregnancy with her boyfriend Stefon Diggs. And well, the NFL star did something pretty romantic for her to kind of commemorate the album dropping. I thought it was pretty cool. It was pretty cool. And it was pretty huge, too. So, expensive, too. Expensive. So, we'll get to that in a second. But Stefan Diggs had a truck pull up in front of Cardi B out in NYC. Yeah. And in the back of it was a bucket, like the biggest bucket you could ever find. Bucket makes you think. of roses and it's insane if you look at it, but it's also customized to where it says, "Am I the drama on the side with with Cardi B's face on it, but massive massive bed truck, right?" Yes. So, I'm trying to do it justice here, but like it doesn't look like it's them in real size. And then you have Yeah, it's taller than them probably by about like 5T. But, um, a really cool gesture.
And you know, he's talked about all this week about how he's so proud of her and he's been able to witness her like gear up for this big comeback because it's been quite a few years since she's put out music and you know, there's a lot that goes involved uh into a product like that and he's just been there every step of the way and you know being a witness and a fan and and really supportive of that. But um I think he's a romant and I know we're going to maybe I should preface what I'm about to say because we're about to get into something else that might suggest he actually had another baby not too long ago.
But he rents out the castle for her. He takes her to Europe after she says, "I've been to Europe a million times. I am on tour always, but I never get to go do these cool things and see the sites." And he rents out the castle for her. That was really cool. He's obviously in the middle of the football season, but he finds time to get to New York and the you know, I I I cool. I think they have a good relationship. I really do. Yes. Or some people could look at that and be like, is he overdoing it because something's going on in the background? U I don't want to speculate on whether Cardi B knows or not, but as we reported yesterday. Yeah. So, what's going on there? He may he may have we knew he had an 8-year-old child, right? Obviously very open about that. His uh his 8-year-old kid, he may also have a uh a newborn. Correct. Um, and that's what Lord Gazelle, the uh Instagram model, um, you know, filed court docs for because, you know, she says that, uh, he is the father of her child that was born in early April, and he is contesting that, saying, "I would like to have a paternity test and and figure out who the real father is." But meanwhile, um, we also have video from uh, let's say it was actually on May 11th of um, of this year, okay? And that's really interesting because as one day before Cardi and Stfan had their hard launch at the Knicks game, there was all that speculation for months.
You know, they were spotted on Valentine's Day together. Um people had been just kind of assuming that they were a couple, but that was the first public appearance. They went hand in hand to MSG, right? It was a Nick Celtics game. Yes. One day prior, um Stefan Diggs was at a hospital in NYC. Okay. holding a baby carrier uh trying to get it into an SUV outside of a hospital and there is a woman in the back passenger seat, not Cardi B. Okay, we're not saying anything here, but the speculation is that this is another child and we don't know. Of course, we always wish that we had the most highquality footage, but this is what was presented to us. We can't really make out the face or the identity of the woman in the car. Um but as far as we know, it could be another woman. Um, and we don't necessarily And also, there's not even any suggestion here that he did anything wrong.
We don't exactly know when he and Cardi B began dating exclusively when they said, "We're not going to see anybody else. I'm with you. You're with me." So, no one's even saying that he cheated here. It's just the bottom line is that this is a baby that nobody knew about. And it might be Stefon Diggs. It might also not be Stefan Diggs. And Cardi B may know about all of this. I I mean I would assume that she knows about it now. Uh but I think the timing it's it's just bears pointing out like Lucas said he's at the hospital with this other baby and this other woman 24 hours later there he is at Madison Square Garden just by the way uh you know maybe a few miles away from where that hospital was in New York City.
So uh yeah congratulations to Cardi on the album maybe to step on on the baby. Uh maybe not. Maybe not. Maybe not. I think bot again bottom line is they seem to have a really great relationship and uh yeah exciting time for them. Yeah. And here's the thing. If you um have the resources like Cardi B does um chances are the next person that you are dating after offset Yeah.
you're going to do a background check. you're gonna do get a private investigator maybe you know looking looking at them or Stefan from the very beginning was like you know this is what it is this is my current situation honest with her and they they are are doing so great that I feel like they are very honest and open and communicative about you know people are always going to think like oh Stefan was like you know hiding or whatever I don't think that's the case right yeah that's not necessarily the case at all and we know with her she had you know the relationship with offset was was tumultuous and it was up and down and that that's been well documented. It is quite a grand gesture though with the flowers. Um it is Venus. That is a black truck. It's hard to tell how much are those if you go to the website. What do those things cost like? They're they're bargain items are um at $300 and like the big expensive ones which are like thousands of dollars are like still you're able to carry them.
So something like this I mean you could be talking$10,000. Oh yeah. Oh my. Yeah. It's it's literally on a flat bed. So he's got money though. Yeah. What's going on with Davian? So uh this is Rock Hill, South Carolina. He is, according to the police documents, going to attend a high school football game. Okay. The parking at the stadium overfills. Okay. And according again to the documents, there's parking lots in adjacent apartment complexes and things like that that people just kind of spill into as one does during overcrowded football. Well, they've hired police to basically monitor that so they can other, you know, the tenants can have the parking lots and whatnot.
Uh, according to these docs, Clowny basically tells them like, "I'm going to park here. My aunt lives here." And they're like, "No, you can't park here tonight. Like, you know, if you're going to the football game, like, you got to park somewhere else. Let's go to the overflow lot." And they just say they just simply got in a big argument and it ultimately ended up with Clowny being arrested. Wow. Yeah. it wild that 3 days before he signs with the Cowboys, he gets in like literally a parking lot dispute with a park and is now facing criminal charges. Uh he apparently talked a couple minutes ago or a couple hours ago to Dallas media and brush it off.
Curious what he has to say as you can tell like I got in a dispute over parking and got arrested. So, uh, as I'm not that's that's not biased from Macau. That's Yeah, that's actually I'm not sure about that. I've read a lot of police reports, a lot of incident reports, and I've never read one where a guy got arrested for that. What's that helmet on your desk? Yeah. And it's signed by M. It's a Micah Parson's helmet. I'm a big Micah Parson's fan. You should have seen it with the Parson when he was drafted when he was traded. Um, by the way, Javian Clowny's high school highlights are the most impressive thing. I could watch those highlights all day. And have you ever seen Oh god. It's incredible. Yeah, cuz he was he was like Javian Clowney now in high school. Like he was somehow like 6'4 and like there were a couple Derrick Henry's like that.
There were a couple of those guys. I was like, "Oh my goodness." Like who's a Cardinal lineman? Who was it? Maybe Darnell Dockett. Yeah, there was a few same size and just running over people like Oh man, there was one high school football tape that I cannot remember what it was like. Oh uh Tavon Austin. So you that's his college tape. His uh Oh yeah, you're right. West Virginia that one. Yeah. What is it that's like I'm the one or the choker. Only one. Yeah, that's good. Yeah. What about guy you wouldn't want to tackle? Man, that's a that's a fun time is like the high school tape of like I like my favorite I mean being growing up being a Wizards fan, John Walls high school tape was incredible. Incredible player. Who else? Just a different level.
Who's your favorite wizard of all time? Mine Michael Jordan. You're not a Wizard fan. No. Okay. Thought you were asking me. I'm a big fan of the Polish hammer. Uh Marcen Gortat. Wow. Um just cuz I thought he had a cool nickname growing up. I'm like, "This guy is is is he has to be good with a nickname like that." Um he was not he was not that good.
Uh, caner. Hey guys, can you take my mic for a sec? Obviously. Uh, what's that? I'm trying to think of like who my favorite growing up like I think I mean John Wall was was an easy one. Was an easy favorite. Um, Agent Zero. Uh, I mean that to to think of what the Wizards could have been if uh Gilbert Arenas didn't didn't do what he did. uh or run into the Cavs those two seasons. Or I mean, yeah, I mean, it's a good point. I mean, I the the closest I've ever I've ever gotten to tasting victory in uh the NBA was was it 20 2015 or 20 whenever they played the Boston Celtics, the Isaiah led Boston Celtics um in the East in the SE Eastern Conference semis and then made it to game seven and Isaiah Thomas just dropped 50 and put all of my hopes and dreams and the entire franchise to sleep for until currently. So, uh, it's been tough. It's been tough.
But, Lucas, how are you feeling about the Cavs this upcoming year? I feel like last season could had to have been a had been a little bit brutal. Um, you know, the weird thing is as a Cleveland fan, you get used to being let down, but Sorry. Sorry. you you get used to being let down, but that one hurt a lot more because I feel like we didn't give the Pacers the benefit of the doubt. So, it just came out of nowhere and it was just like they were beating us in every aspect of the game. And yeah, of course, they made it to the finals, but it it doesn't like make it any less hurtful.
Um, going into this season, you know, I'm I'm going to be hopeful, but it's not like we got much better. Um, we'll see what Lonzo can do. Um, and how he plays into the rotation and all that. I did like Aoro. I thought he was like, you know, he had a good uh chemistry with the players and all that. And we're not used to making like insane amount of deals. I know we traded for Jarrett Allen, but for the most part, we drafted a lot of those guys. Yeah. Um, yeah, I'm the Cavs are like my number one team and and so I'm always I feel like you've had the most luck and fun with them being Ohio Cleveland. Yeah. Yeah, for those teams I I became a massive Cavs fan um the year before we got LeBron, but of course I knew of LeBron because the high school games were being broadcast and all that and there was all that chatter about this guy in Akran who's like so good.
Um Oh yeah, cuz I mean that's like how like somewhat local, you know, at least same state everything like Yeah. Yeah. He I mean he grew up like an hour and a half from where I grew up. So favorite players? No, we're just talking about the Cavs going into this season. I was explaining my fandom how that like the Cavs are above like the Browns and Gardens. How do you feel about the Cavs this season after last? I know you had big high hopes. That's a great question. Thought they he thought they were winning a championship last year. Luka just as he's g in depth analysis.
The the the thing is um I think it really all depends on the leap that Mobly takes this year. And they were expecting like that MVP caliber Evan Mobley last year or at least we were. I know he's not on everyone's radar, but I think if he does actually take that leap this year and and you know just really reaches his full potential, then he can be really serious. Would you you were against trading him last year, right? Evan Mobley. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, well, he just We're talking about Star like Giannis. I mean, that would be tough tough to pull the trigger or tough to say no. Tough to say no. Yeah. Yeah, you know, those like I also when we traded for Kevin Love, I didn't want to get rid of Andrew Wiggins, you know, but my friend at the time was asking me, well, my boss at the time, he was like, "If you could guarantee at least one championship, would you give up Andrew Wiggins?" I was like in a heartbeat.
Mhm. Because prior to actually winning in 2016, I had no idea what it felt like. you know, Ohio State when I was like a kid and was a fan of them, but that's not the same, you know, when you go through the up and down and all the the heartbreak and everything and I mean, it would have been really cool to win the World Series that year, too. We would have been spoiled, but yeah, we just got to get that Browns Super Bowl. And I know that's so far away from Speaking of the Browns. Oh, yeah. That's what we're You just teed us up. That's Hang on. Just give me one sec, Steve, because Lucas, do you remember? You'll remember this in the show. We were doing this for a long time, but it's it's nine years ago almost to the day you got Eric Dickerson came in and co-hosted this show with Michael J.
Babcock. Oh, yeah. With Larry Sanders. Yes. Yeah, exactly. Larry Sanders. Eric Dickerson. And the day that I think your thoughts, your uh feelings might change when you hear this Eric Dickerson clip about your Browns today. We'll see. Oh, does he go in on them? He goes in on them. Yeah. Oh, man. All right. I would too. What a Eric Dickerson is out of nowhere just pulling You know, I feel like a year ago, I never heard of him saying anything negative and it was always hot takes. Yeah. And then he was like and then it started with the Seaquan stuff and then it came, you know, now it's like this whole [ __ ] situation, which I mean, from his comments earlier, like earlier, like later last month or something, I agreed with for the most part, but yeah.
No, I I love it. I love the old guys who Sorry, not old older retired guys who just let it go. Sorry guys, I just need to fix the story here real quick. Wait till you uh guys hear what Dickerson had to say. I agree. Yeah, that's weird that he goes in, huh? We We were pitched this story or we were pitched this video. We keep doing the same thing. No, no. I'm I'm I'm I'm emphasizing it. I think about the Cavs.
I feel like you guys not paying attention. Oh, I was writing a story, by the way. I feel No, I heard you. I've heard about I'm more saying I'm emphasizing that he went absolutely in. Uh uh uh. We're going to go in. We're going to get into it on the show, but uh I'm with you. Uh don't let Lucas It was a strong a little of a bully here. Yeah, I know, right? Bully. Okay, I know. Why don't we talk to more about the Cavaliers who have absolutely nothing? I'll turn around. I'll go to work. Absolutely. You're fine. You know, this guy's Let me talk to you about Jaylen Tyson. Deal with every single day, by the way. Just bickering between them two. No, we are we're like brothers. We're we go through it all together. You are like brothers.
All right. Clownies updated. All right, I'm gonna fix this after our All right, Babcock, you good to do Eric Dickerson? Yeah, in about 25 seconds. Steve, 25 seconds. You guys want to talk about Lucas? Top three Cavs aside from LeBron. Aside from LeBron, top three Cavs. Oo, Kyrie Irving. Mhm. Um I I know it was like a bad breakup, but honestly that shot was absolutely insane. Um and he will always be cemented in Cavaliers history. And then number three, um just based on my fandom, you know, from when I was old enough to be a fan until present day, I would say Zadrun Sagowskis. Um because he was that only one good guy outside of LeBron that we had for so many years. Yeah, shout out to Ricky Davis, Darius Miles, Dwan Wagner, Booby Gibson, all those guys. But, you know, Z was until he went to the Heat. He was he was that guy. He was a lifer. He was an all-star. Um, he's a really good guy, too. I said when I became a fan, a little before my time. Before your time.
I'm only 33. Younger guy here. Okay. All right, Babcock, you good? Yes, I am. Okay, so we're going Eric Dickerson going in on the Cleveland Browns. Is there any uh uh is it just the Brown stuff here, Steve? In in Eric's uh Gotcha. Okay. And this is after he had uh he had previously made some comments about Shador Los Angeles this week. LAX this week. Okay. All right. Let's do it. Ed, you uh you go here, I guess. Okay. Welcome back to TMZ Sports. Eric Dickerson, look, a couple of weeks ago, he went off not happy with Shador Sanders, the way Shador Sanders was ultimately passed up in the NFL draft, goes in the fifth round. Um, if you thought the NFL legend, if you thought the Hall of Famer had changed his opinion, no, he hasn't. We saw him this week at LAX Ed and I mean just absolutely scorched earth on the franchise. I've I've seen people go in on teams and then I've seen Eric Dickerson go in on a team.
I I I suppose I could explain it to you, but I think we should probably just show it. Just just listen to Eric Dickerson go off here. A lot of these guys to me they throw them in there too fast or too soon. But I mean that's the that's the age we're in right now. They want the number one pick to play right away.
Quarterback. Some of them aren't ready. That's why some of them fail. Some of them And it depends on what team you go to. I mean, if you go to a team like the Browns, I mean, honestly, that's not a good football team. I I hate I hate to see them now. I wish they would have cut it. They would have an opportunity at a better football team because I mean, the Browns have had so many first round picks and screw it up. I mean, that's that's a bad football team. And they they were bad when I played. I mean, they were they were decent. I think they were pretty good, but they're horrible. Oh, so to recap, they're a bad football team.
They're horrible. And he wishes Shador Sanders had not been there. And in fact, he still wishes they would just kick him off the team so he could be with a better friendship. Like, okay, have the Browns been good? No. As Lucas stares off into the void, into the abyss. Have they been good? No. But I think it's a good situation for him. They don't You don't Sorry, Lucas. You guys don't have a quarterback. Where Where should he go? To the Ravens? Who? Where? I think he's great in Cleveland.
I don't get this. Look, I'm trying to be calm here because I do like Eric Dickerson and for a while he was one of my only contacts here at TMC. Um, he is running with a narrative that has been going on for so long that Cleveland has always been bad and that they're they're always going to be bad and that is not true. Yes, we have run into some really rough years. 0 and6 I mean one and 15 Hugh Jackson era that will never leave my mind. However, down here, we um when we had Baker, don't let's not forget we almost beat the Chiefs and went to the AFC Championship game. We we were we were in the playoffs consistently. Um before we were uprooted and taken to to Baltimore, we were a playoff team. Like he keeps saying, "Oh, they were never good. They'll always be bad." The the issue that we have right now is we made a drastic decision, a bad decision to get Deshaawn Watson, and we gave up a ton for that.
And then when he is finally able to play again, we uproot our entire offense. We try and make it as as best as possible to fit Deshun Watson. And then he just sucks. He was terrible. And then so what do we do now? We bring in as many quarterbacks as possible. We got rid of Baker Mayfield before who is now in Tampa just lighting it up playing I think MVP caliber football. Yeah. And we we just run into this endless cycle of we get good, we get very close, and then we go back to being bad by doing one or two bad decisions.
And it's wild because we have had so many years where we we have no patience whatsoever. Okay, we get rid of head coaches and GMs left and right, but the one who has made the worst decision and potentially NFL history in Andrew Barry by bringing in Watson, his seat is safe for some reason. So, I wanted to disagree with Dickerson so bad because he's running with the the Browns suck. The Browns suck. Everyone says that they're they always say that they're going to be the worst team even when they're not. But I do have to agree to a certain extent because yeah, Barry, how does he have a job? I don't necessarily blame Stfansky because he's doing everything that he can. But how many Pro Bowlers has Andrew Barry drafted outside of one or two, you know, and then we have Nick Chub who's running it up the field because they said that, oh, he's done.
He's washed. He's never going to be good again. No, he's going to the Texans and he's run off for 50. Did you want Chub to stay? Absolutely. And he is such a Cleveland guy through and through. He loved the organization. He he was like one of us, you know, and Baker was Baker's a jerk. He's a trash talker. He's a a few words that I can't say right now, but he was ours, you know, and he he fit the Cleveland like mentality, the character, and all that. And we keep getting rid of these guys and bringing in newbies. I don't know what it's going to be like with Judkins.
He only played one game and he he looked good so far. But it's like if you're not going to have an immediate answer and like yeah, obviously they had high hopes for Deshun Watson, but it's clear that he was a flash in the pan and yeah, he was an allp pro, but it's not working out in Cleveland and we have to turn it around real quick and figure out what's going on.
So yeah, why not take Gabriel? Why not take Shador Sanders and try and figure it out? But I wouldn't necessarily agree with Dickerson to say that going to Cleveland is going to like torpedo his entire career. No, we've seen player and Miles Garrett may the best defender in the entire league. Do you want to see Shadore Sanders play? What's at this point? I mean, what does that get you? Playing Flaco does nothing for us.
I think especially last week, it's like, okay, well, we are losing badly. What is the point in putting the old man back out there? Let's see what Gabriel can do. May maybe he it gives us a little bit of energy or a little boost, a spark. And who knows, maybe we can just go with him for the rest of the season and and if it doesn't work out then then re-evaluate going into you don't want to see Shadore. I mean everybody else I think wants to see Shadore cuz they don't care if you guys win or lose that. Yeah, that's great. And I know he's way more popular. He's probably the most popular rookie in the entire class. But at the same time it it you have to go with the the person who showed the most tape and the most promise in the preseason and that was Gabriel despite you know not playing you know as many snaps.
So I I mean like I think going with Flaco is the safest choice but it's not the smartest. Yeah. No, I agree with you. I I think at some point I think they're going to also coaches coaches who are in the hot seat, they know like a way to a way to give yourself a lifeline is to develop a young quarterback and if you do I think that's a way to potentially save your job, but they've got to play well.
If they don't play well, then I think you could probably expedite you losing that job. So uh yeah, I think at some point what's the point of playing Flaco? Uh so uh all right, Steve. So, where are we going to go from here? Now, can can we can we just point out that Lucas started his whole diet tribe by vehemently disagreeing with Eric Eric Dixon and then inevitably agreed with Eric and said, "We hate everybody.
We should fire everybody." You didn't listen to I said I wanted to disagree with him initially. He's running. No, you're not listening to me. I'm saying he's running with the narrative that he's just always the Browns are always bad. They've they've never they are always bad. And then you list off all the horrible decisions they've made for the last 10 years. I mean it it was it was it was contradic. This feels like the only way to settle this is a fight. No, you didn't listen to me because Yeah. What's your This is kind of an octagon. It's fine. Throw on the gloves. No. So, so here's the thing about me. I'm not good at talking or thinking really much at all. Yeah. Um, and when I get over like excited about something or passionate, um, I don't necessarily plan things out in my head.
And that was a perfect example. I think you don't like that he called your franchise crap, but you actually in ways agree with what he said, right? Yeah. Yeah, I get that. I don't want I'm a Giants fan. I don't want them to be called crap. They're so like say kind of are that though. Now, if they a transcript of what I just said, put in the chat, GBT, they would be like he essentially I'm going to do that later.
Agrees with him, but not the reason. I got one more one more breaking news. Uh I reached out to the uh district attorney on Raja Jackson asking like could it be upgraded to attempted murder or whatnot? They said uh as of now a case has not been presented to our office by law enforcement. So, uh so they're still in the kind of investigatory process. Uh they haven't fored the case over yet.
Yeah, they could ultimately send over something more serious or or less. Yeah, I I think that's that's one of the options on the table. It could be felony what what he's booked on, felony upgraded or or no charges, you know, maybe maybe they rule that it's hey, it's part of a wrestling show and he did what he did. You and I think you try and think what's the what's the defense going to be for them? And I think you could say, hey, he had some momentary break or I didn't know I'm not. I think that's exactly what his if I were his attorney that would be mine.
He's he was they told him to go in there and do a WWE style skit and he did it. I'm a fighter, right? I hit people. I don't do and I think obviously the argument is going to be come on you're right. You know you can't kill somebody but yeah at the same time I mean 25 years oldense see what they do and maybe that's perhaps why they didn't do attempted murder and it's more right. He can't say he didn't do it. We obviously we saw it witnessed it. So anyways that's the breaking news. Yeah, very interesting. We'll see. Stay tuned on that. Okay so we're moving on to Bill and Jordan Hudson. Yep. Bill and Jordan Hudson. And you will toss former Tar Hill Devonte Walker.
Okay. So, what's kind what are the what are the uh what are the the the legends the alum from the Tar Hills thinking and just of note TZ is younger than Jordan. Okay. TZ Walker. So, caught two touchdowns last week, right? TZ TZ Walker. Uh so, this is his second year. Yeah. Okay. Okay, cool. Let's do it. And we're tossed into a conversation we had with Tess. Correct. Got it. Love it. And these last two segments are fun, so have fun. Okay, got it. Welcome back to TMZ Sports. Jordan Hudson and Bill Bich. I guess at least for us here at TMZ, one of the biggest stories in all of college football, UNCC, they started off with that drubbing uh you know at the hands of TCU. They have now won two games in a row. So they're two- one. Question is, what do the former stars from UNC feel about their relationship with their uh their head coach and this uh 24-year-old Jordan Hudson? Well, we uh talked to a guy who is a secondyear NFL pro, who by the way is actually younger uh or older, excuse me.
No, younger than Jordan Hudson. Uh Tez Walker. Tez Walker last week, big game, two touchdown uh receptions. We had an opportunity to speak with him this week and we asked him, we said, "Hey, you went to UNC, you know, all of these people. What are your thoughts on Jordan and Coach Bichc?" I mean, I think it's a little crazy, but I mean, you know, the the love is there. You know, I I don't have nothing against it. So, you know, I mean, it seems like she's good for him. He loves loves her. She loves him. So, as long as they win, right? As long as they win. As long as they bring in wins.
Don't let that stuff, you know, affect the program. Look, make the school look bad or nothing. It's bringing a lot of tension. You know, Carolina's a big, you know, athletic school. So, you know, the attention they're getting, I'm not shocked about it. And then he's a, you know, a winning coach. He won in the league.
So I think you win in the league, you can win anywhere. You know, I think he's going to, you know, take that program, you know, to the next level. I hope he does. I I I mean, let's be honest, nobody has talked about Carolina football like this ever. I mean, I I don't care. Point to a time where they've ever had a higher profile than they have now. I mean, Lawrence Taylor went all that good stuff. They've had some good players over the years. Nobody's ever talked about the program like this. It's It's a good thing as far as I'm concerned, right? Refreshing take from Tez, too, right? I think everybody initially wants to believe that this is gross and weird and 50-year age dab or what not, but I mean, this is a guy who's who's been around Carolina football for the last year and seen the two, and I think he generally thinks they're in love.
I said they love each other all night. Yeah. I I would I think the the alum from the school, they care, like he said, they care about winning. That's that's it. What do they care if he's, you know, who he's dating, not dating? It doesn't matter to them. I think if if uh after that first week, I think there were a lot of people who said, "Ah, that's not what we expected." But again, the schedule's gotten a little bit easier. TCU is a good team. They're a better team right now than North Carolina is, but you can just feel that remember that first game you had Lawrence, speaking of Lawrence Taylor there, you had Michael Jordan there. You had all anyone who's anybody from North Carolina football, right? So, everybody was there and you could just feel how excited they were for that.
Uh again, game one didn't go the way they wanted to. They've gotten some wins since two and one and yeah, coach Bichc's happy. They're all happy as long as they're winning. Right. Those these last two games have been cupcakes, you know. So, so much easier, right? Which they who do we talk to? It wasn't I don't remember who we talked to for what, Steve? Who did we talk to? Uh, was it uh was it Eric Ebron? Who? Eric. Eric Ebron who said uh yeah, he said, "Look, the schedule's going to get easier here." So, uh, you know, that was a that was a tough first game for them.
I'm ready to see them play another TCU style opponent because they've had a whole month together with gel and right like TCU is not they're not obviously a top tier team, but they're like a top 30 top 40 team and two for for UNCC, wasn't it? It's something like 50 players different than last year. They they are so different. You've got an entire I don't know if Tesla was speaking of hyperbole or whether you knew this, but he said 70 players. Did he get it? a little hard for me to hear. So that there you go. We not play the sound of that, but during the interview, bottom line, it's a it's a lot of new players to work in, new system. That's Yeah. Not easy. Well, they definitely have some competition coming up. What's Yeah. What's the schedule look like? The slate, they play uh UCF tomorrow, which is I mean, not a pushover program. No, not at all. Um and then Clemson, you know, a Kade Clubick le offense over there.
So, I mean, that's NFL prospect a legit NFL prospect. Absolutely. Um and then Cal. So the next three weeks are I mean not a gauntlet by any means but definitely certainly I mean TCU caliber, right? Yeah, definitely of the of that caliber. I mean probably club like that Clemson game I think is going to be a real gauge of if they're a competitive program or not. Um just based off of the you know the p personnel over there. Absolutely. I agree. Yeah, that'll be fun. Okay, Steve. So we got ABC done now. DB block here is uh Cody Rhodess. Great. Wrestle Palooa this weekend. He is t defending his undisputed WWE championship against Drew Mc this week. We caught up with him in New York. And an interesting reason why he says he's going to get the dub. I I think this with this uh if the commanders lose this week, I think it's Russell Palooa. Yeah. Yeah. Wrestle Palooa. Huge huge uh wrestling match going down this weekend.
Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Okay. And Cody's got an interesting reason for why he's going to win the fight. Exactly. And then let's go three minutes here and saying goodbye. Got it. Wrapping up the weekend. First week of these live streams. Yes, sir. Great. Okay. Let's do it. So, three total with a goodbye. Exactly. Got it. Okay, cool. I'm good to go when you guys are. Welcome back to TMZ Sports. There is a huge wrestling match going down this weekend in Indianapolis at Wrestle Palooa.
Cody Rhodess, Drew McIntyre, two of the biggest pro wrestling stars in the world. Who's gonna win? I have no idea. But Cody Rhodess says he knows. He's got a very interesting reason why he's going to beat Drew Mack. Watch this. What could we expect for your fight with Drew? I'll put it simple, right? Drew McIntyre, 65, 280 pounds, absurdly good at what he does, one of WWE's best, but he's a cat guy. I'm a dog guy. Dog guys win all day long. Oh, okay. So, you heard him right there. He's Cody says, "I am a dog guy. He has a cat. Dog guys beat cat guys." And that that's the reason why. Lucas, you anything as a as a proud cat owner now? I'm going to be calm on this one.
No, no, no. Let it fly. Yeah, we love We love Angry Lucas. Go ahead. Let it fly as a as a new cat father. Okay. Congratulations, by the Okay. Cat daddy, some would say. I I love dogs. Just don't start dancing. I I used to be able to do it back in the day. Catch me in high school. I would have I was doing the cat daddy and the doggy. Anyway, go on. I love dogs. Okay. I I don't know why we have to be one or the other. You know, this is how it goes. Got to pick based on my schedule, you know. Oh, there's there's smoke. Oh my god. Look at him. And he he's got the he's a Browns fan, unfortunately. I saw Lucas. I caught him. He's a Browns fan. Yeah, I'm going to let Eric do. I was going to I was going to actually make him a Chiefs fan or something, you know, just to be funny. Why did you You just You just doomed him to a life of misery.
No. So, I I will represent all the the the cat guys, the cat guys here. Um Cody Rhodess is wrong. Cody Rhodess is absolutely wrong. There's there's something about a cat guy. And I think it's because they don't they don't care about like you know it's sometimes the the way that it goes is I feel like guys got to get dogs, girls got to get cats. That's just what like the expectation is. Cat guys don't care. They don't care about what's expected of them. You know that they're just loving people and everything. And I think they're courageous and I think you know that's going to show in the ring and Drew McIntyre is going to surprise Cody Rose.
Yeah. Here's here's what I'll say too. I do. I love dogs and I don't like that we have to pick. Yeah. Dogs, they love anybody, right? If you feed them, we love you. Okay. You You got to earn their trust. So, somebody who has the trust of a cat, that says so much more, I think, about them, about their integrity as people.
I tell you what, Smokey, that's why Smokey loves me so much. He uh Why are you showing me? See, that's why. Look how By the way, my Blue will kick Smokey's ass. But that is not true. We're not We do not support animals fighting here. But uh Yeah. Did you see how big he is? Oh, he's he's much bigger than Smokey's like 8 pounds now. Is he? Yeah. I keep feeding him. Yeah. We're doing workouts. I got a laser, so he's doing sprints. Super agile. Is this the He is a good athlete. Uh is this This is gonna determine dogs or cats who reigns supreme. wrestle Palooa on Saturday. There's a lot on the line. It's far bigger than just this wrestling match here. Cats or dogs? Who's better? We find out on Saturday. Watch the wrestling match. Lots of football, college football, NFL football, week three. We're going to have a bunch to talk about on Monday.
Have a great weekend. Be safe. We'll see you then. It's cats is the answer. Cats are the best. I know. I'm not It's It's dogs. It's dogs. Like if you guys didn't live in your current living arrangements and like say I worked from home. Yeah. And you had No, no, no. You had like a house. I guess you kind of have a little bit different, but like you had a house and a and a yard. Tell me you wouldn't rather have a dog. I wouldn't trade Smokey for Well, now that before prior to getting smokey prior? Yeah. Do you like I like the kids that are raised with dogs because then the kids kind of start to act like a little dog, you know? I I really don't know.
I've always loved cats. I've always loved dogs. Like I don't like I would hate to choose one or the other. Oh, I'm the same way. Yeah. I I would lean towards a dog though if I was if I had to choose. But like also the maintenance is much less of a That's what I'm talking about. The the living arrangements if you had a big yard less for a cat litter box and you could leave 24 hours. Yeah. Twice a day. We're good. Feed them feed them twice a day. Twice a day. Wow. Yeah. Well, I have a Russian blue. They're very particular about their cleanliness. How do you do it twice a day? Morning and night. Really? He lights it up during the night when I'm sleeping. Great. Good for you.
It walks all over my face, too, after. I'm like, dude, that's [Laughter] disgusting. Do you wash your face before you come here in the morning? I take showers. Oh man, I've always wanted to get like ever since I had my last dog and he passed away, I kind of want to get a kitten cuz I just think it's like, you know, at least for work and everything, I feel like they can kind of do their own thing a little bit more cuz I feel my uh one of my roommates, we have a puppy at our house. Her name is Ruby. Okay. What kind of dog? Uh she's a Doberman mixed with a mini Aussie Shepherd. Wow. So she's just like a small Doberman, but she's very awkward. And wait, hold up. Jacob said cute cat. Please ask him to specify. Yeah, which one are we? Are we talking because you want to get take a kitten? You I'll show I'll show Blue and Olive as kittens and people could die from cuteness overload.
I mean that's Blue and Olive. Those they are menaces. You've No, not Olive is not a menace. Blue is a menace. Blue is scary. No, he's not. No, Olive is scared. Blue is a menace. Scary. What is What makes him menacing? Oh, he's just a me. Just a devil. just do everything to I think he does things to get back at me. Did you uh teach them any tricks? Like what? Like sit and um like paw. I've tried spin. I've tried. That's the next thing with Smokey. He's not going to do that. We're starting this weekend. No, there's no way. You want to bet? Yeah. Russian Blues are very smart. Okay. I think on Monday we bring in a video and we and we settle. See what the see what the progress is like this weekend. And as the live goes on, we'll see how skilled. I got him a Browns jersey and he had it off within 6 seconds.
It was really impressive. I think like a guilty part of me wants to get a a dog like a puppy just so I can get him a little jersey and name him Barkley because I feel like that is a perfect dog name. But I've always the pet pets and jerseys I think is just a a wonderful thing. That's Smokey does have a little Browns jersey. I love that. Right. You really did doom him to a life of misery. Guys, thank you for hanging out..
