Welcome to TMZ Sports's live stream. I'm Edward Lewis. This is Lucas Whitman. And as always, we're here in the newsroom giving you a great day of sports topics, including my Dallas Cowboys. Uh, what about bragging about So, are you bragging about a tie before we even start? How the mighty Cowboys have fallen? mighty Cowboys. Everybody was like, "Are you guys even number one overall?" What we like to do in the newsroom is Mondays after a successful win, it's victory Monday, so you wear your team's merch, but the Cowboys didn't win Sunday night. So, I am perplexed as to why raise your hand if your team lost yesterday. Raise your team. Sure. Your team won yesterday. Mine didn't lose. Okay. I'm not pretending the Browns won yesterday.
I'm not pretending. I didn't lose yesterday. Sunday Night Football Cowboys, all the drama, big return and everything, but Jerry Jones. Yeah. All that nonsense. Um, but then we're also going to get into the other announcement that was happening Sunday night, which was Bad Bunny is the headliner for the Super Bowl this year. Um, terrible choice. Not a terrible. Babcock's super happy about that pick. Terrible choice. He's going to give you a lot of people agree with you. He's going to give you his top 10 Bad Bunny songs. Yeah. You couldn't get any in this office to name 10 Bad Bunny songs collectively. Oh boy. And then lastly, we'll get into Taylor Swift who was at the Chiefs game, but nobody saw her. So, great show today. Trust us. Great show today. Bad Bunny's a great pick. What are your favorite What are your favorite? Yeah. What's your favorite What are your favorite two or three songs? Let me let me give you something off the name right now.
Go ahead. Hold on. I want to hear you. I got I got to pull him out. I got to pull him out. I got one for you. Bunny song about Booker T the wrestler. Don't hate on bad. That's all I got. So many people people would rather all these are just people. It's a good good Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is an American holiday, but the NFL is so damn greedy that they just care about making more money. He has major features. He'll have like Chris Brown in featur. What's wrong with that? Like he has features a lot of a lot of stars. I'm not a lot of stars. Bad I I like Bad Bunny. I think that he's a good actor. I he is an incredibly talented person. He ain't for the Super Bowl. It's an American It's an It's an American holiday. And you got a guy who doesn't even he he has songs that are not in English. You got 99% I don't know, man. NFL's going to Dublin. No, I know. Mojo, they're really trying to establish the international presence, right? Why? And why is that, Mojo? Because they want to make money, of course.
Because that's that's what they care about. They they care about making money is up here and and the the fan experience is somewhere around here. Wait, on on Friday or whatever it was last week, Friday, I got in trouble for saying they're so greedy for streaming games and everybody looked at me like a complete a-hole and now we're upset that bad. The fact that I can't stream a game on my own television I pay money for.
As you can see, I've been very quiet about this because it is quite hypocritical, but but we're going to get into this later. I don't know why we're talking about this right now. Did everyone have a great weekend? I want to know how everyone's weekend was. What was everyone's highlight from the weekend? Let us know. This is so embarrassing, bro. Only a Cowboys fan show Monday like his team won the Super Bowl. We're having a freaking Super Bowl. Not only that, no tie against you have my best player of the year. It's hard for a tie. That's so embarrassing. My dinosaur owner is sitting down here. Just a bunch of wins. Lot of wins. We can talk about so much. Remember Friday is the best. Babcock was talking about how the Giants were going to go over. I thought the Giants had no chance to win this game. I I really I really did. And I I was very surprised. I'll tell you what, the Giants pass rush is it can be scary.
I know. I mean, Kavon Typico looks like a different player this year. Spooky season. They've like a top line for sure. Oh, absolutely. Now you get to the hardest part of your schedule, though. Well, yeah. Well, the whole No. Well, here here's let me tell you this. They play the Saints on Sunday. They in New Orleans, but they can beat Yeah. No, they are. But I would look I would I I expect the Giants to win that game. I do. And then they've got to turn around on just four days and play the Eagles. That is going to be that's going to be an easy game. They really throw the ball in Philadelphia though.
They have zero passing yards. Okay. In an entire half. You know, four Oh, no losses. Boy, I think the Giants Jay Herz hasn't lost his game in 20 games. I think 200 is the Giants going to Super Bowl MVP and it's going to be non-stop talk about what's wrong. It's always non-stop talk about what's wrong. You win you lose a game and it's like the world is crumbling. Every your team is the worst. You're never going to win again.
And then you win one game and now I'm thinking in my head, okay, yeah, what if they do beat Exactly. Three and two. We're right there. Right. You're in the wild card, man. Well, you raised that 2.4% playoff. The Baltimore Ravens are 1 and3 right now. They got to be the best one and three team in history. Are they though? Their defense is Their defense is so This is coming from a guy who just gave up 37 or 40 again last night. That their defense is I am I thought the Ravens were likely uh likely to play in the Super Bowl this season. I really did. And now Lamar's hurt. Yeah. I mean, their whole they lost like one of their Dlinemen for the whole year. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Pro Bowler. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Humphrey's out. That's all they need, right? You got a team that defense is is Dererick Henry's showing that he's 39 or whatever, how old he is, right? He He's looking old.
You've got a bad defense already and you're losing Pro Bowlers from it. I tell you what, the Bills start this year though, man. You got to keep that in perspective, too. Strength of schedule, big difference. Yeah. No, it definitely does. It's just an uphill like their schedule does not get much easier. The thing with the like the Bills are going to the Bills can start preparing for the playoffs now. They are going to there's no resistance in that division. They're going to Yep. They uh I don't know. I mean, there's some people in that division, they can upset them. I'm not a believer. I'm not saying they're going to go undefeated, but they're going to they're going to coast to I mean coast to another six wins in the division probably. Man, you just can never get week six.
I would rather play Russell Wilson than Jackson Dart, man. I'll tell you that. That is not Dart was throwing that thing around. [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] 11 yards. It was Oh, they hype up Jackson Dart for throwing for 113 yards, but you know, he he he made some timely plays. I'll say that. He also should had that that was nearly nearly a touchdown.
Geez, listen to me. uh to to want Robinson, but I I think he's he's got Moxy. I don't I think that he the moment wasn't too big for him. Yeah. He's going to make mistakes though. You think they should take away turf the I Yeah, because that that it's it's just it's it's hurt it's injured so many guys, you know. I mean, everyone from from, you know, Nick Bosa to I mean, the list is on and on. It's crazy. saw something today that said that the last time that the Chargers played at home or played in Metife against the Giants was when Odell Beckham Jr. also tore his ACL in that in that game. So lost number it can't I I refuse to believe it's a money thing. The Giants the franchise is worth 10 billion grass. I just I just imagine it'd be hard to grow it there cuz it's freezing six months out. I got a lawn in my house. You know what I But your lawn in the front yard is different than Odell Ben's, you know, playing surface.
Like I don't know. I No, I I know. I know. Cuz they've always been griping about that and then they're like, "Well, what do you do in like the Superdome? Like, how are we going to grow grass there?" You know? Yeah. Does I mean, I would look to the other I mean, I think link the link has has grass, right? So, if those places can do it, then then the Giants can. But does Arizona have grass? Arizona? Yeah. Yeah. Them and Vegas roll it out and then roll it back in. Right. Right. That's such a crazy thing, too. Yeah, it is. It really is super impressive. But it's like at what point, you know what I mean? Now, now even if you assume that Malik Neighbors, who is an amazing football player, obviously even if you assume he comes back full strength, he still loses now a year with Jackson Dart.
I mean, they could have, you know, the chemistry they could have built this year. Sucks. It's And it's just not good for the league. Like you you need the best players to play. It's fun to watch those guys. You don't want to watch backups. Now, I mean, I love Darius Sllayton. Now Darius Sllayton's the Giants number one receiver. You don't. Anyway, what did you think of Jackson Dart's touchdown celebration? His little dance. I don't even What is that? I don't even know what that is. I'm too old. He said after the game was a Tik Tok. Oh, is that what it is? I'm too old. That was insane. I I could do without the dancing and all that crap. I I Yeah, but whatever. Babcock, you're not up to speed on your Tik Tok.
I know. Apparently not. Mojo, you got to get comment. I think that's what this opponent is supposed to be about is you guys practicing Tik Tok things over there and then me judging them over here. Or we could do it vice versa. You dance. Oh, that's true. Yeah, but that's what everyone expects. We got to got to keep everyone on their toes. You keep saying the word Malik Babcock. All I hear is Malik Washington who is uh the Maryland Terrapens quarterback who's rated number one freshman in the country for those undefeated Terrapens right now.
Just saying. Just throwing that out. We were talking NFL, but did did did we get a little Turpps dub over the weekend? A big dub with their feet up on the couch on a by-week. So, we're still undefeated. We didn't even have to win to maintain. Would we say 4 and0? Three and0. Four. Four and0. There he is. Four and0. Hell yeah, baby. See that Maryland flag on those trunks, too. Zoom in on that thing. We We found We got another emoji, which I didn't even know about. Which one? Oh my goodness. They're just all over. What's he wearing there? What color we got there? Oh, the yellow one. There's another one, too. There's one in green. Comes with the hyped on it and everything. It's got something on your butt here. Hyper. It's either the word hype or Zuba something hype bros that came in a package of two and we we threw out the Zack Ryder one but that was a tag team.
Yeah, that's you got the other guy was a clown. Every time we lost it was because of him and obviously every win was because of me. We threw it out. That's that's the only thing to do with that. I threw We threw it right here in the trash can right away. Yeah. There you go. It's like he's really here. That's how I put a mud on the TV. You can donate it to the kids that need, but even they would throw it away. Cool. We need to We need to set up the Mojo setup over here. We need to get your jersey over here. Mojo set up on the monitor. We do. Just make it like a person. Exactly. Yeah. You guys got your desks and stuff. I need one under me.
We're going to put a body on since you can't see mine. Yeah. Let's uh let's start this thing. Okay, so we are going uh Michael Parsons returns to Dallas to uh face off with his former team and clearly still has beef with uh Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Can we not use Ed for this segment? Please spread your propaganda trash and Micah all day. I just I just want to speak facts about Micah.
Like save it for the sec, buddy. I'm about to light you up. It's unbelievable, dude. The guy is the highest paid defensive player ever. Ever in the history of football. No player has has has garnered more money. Yep. And he did nothing last night. And yet I'm getting killed for it. Some people there's some people who believe he had a game- saving tackle. Exactly. They're doing somersaults. Even Mike Tico on the broadcast is like, "Is that a sack? Please let there be a sack. Please win. Was it Was it Collinssworth uh on the in the booth last night for it? Oh my god. M Parsons, man. Everybody play stealing our Jackson Dart story. Who's stealing our dart story? Everybody talking about the jersey. Oh yeah. Yeah. Come on. You think they credited us? Consider it a loss though. If you if you if you tie it's not a win.
blown out by the windless Bears last week and I was like, we're never going to play a game again that matters. And then here we are against Super Bowl favorite Packers, six and a half point underdogs with our best player on their team and we should have won. Wow. Look at this. But you didn't. Look, look at it. The top 100 shows last year. Oh, let's see. It's all football. God, I can't wait to see what the game last night was. Yeah. Oh, it's going to be big.
Yeah, it's football king. that this white by the way look this is this is all I don't know if you can see this all all top 100 shows last year it's it's it's all football the darker footballs are NFL lighter football's uh college you got a basketball there an award show the the American flags are political shows obviously it was a political uh it was a year of a presidential election it's all football and that's what I mean about the NFL it's like how much more popular do you want it to be can we put the games on normal TV yeah but it's always always got to make an extra dollar.
Bad Bunny is one of the best. Bad Bunny. No, look, I'm going to watch it. I think I'm curious. Will he bring out other acts? He definitely if he does that, I think that's that makes it a lot better. Emerges. I'm telling you, it's not going to just be him. Not just him. Yeah. Yeah. I think if he brings out other acts, that'll be like I love like a couple years ago with like Snoop and Dre and Eminem and the best one. Great, right? You could sing. We all know those songs and I'm sure there was a lot of people who didn't like that too. So, you're never going to make everyone happy.
But yeah, I I love that. I thought he has a lot of features. That was great. He'll bring out people. You're not going to make everyone happy. It's just No, you're never going to make everyone happy. I I get that. Are you doing I bet Yeah, I'll walk. I guess so. I'll walk over here to Edward. Uh Keith. Uh Ed, do you want me to toss and Jerry after or do you want to uh Sure.
Yeah. And then you want to come back to me or Yeah. Yeah. Well, go to you and then uh and then we'll go to Mojo after. Uh All right. All right. Can you introduce little office tour? Well, yeah, this is Check it out, everybody. Behind the scenes footage. We can do that one day. If anyone wants a tour, you let me know. We'll walk around. We'll walk around. We'll give you a tour of the building. Comment TMZ tour. which we we do have that we give you the real exclude that's the bus outside which is great too but we'll give the real exclusive tour inside good guys whenever you are okay welcome to TMZ Sports Babcock here the Dallas Cowboys uh hosted their former superstar defender last night on Sunday Night Football as the great Micah Parsons returned to Big D.
And well, it's clear that despite the fact that he is no longer a member of the Cowboys team, there is still a ton of beef, a ton of bad blood that remains with Micah Parsons and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Now, it was a super exciting game, which we'll get into in a second here. It was a super exciting game.
Uh last second overtime field goal ties the game. That's exactly where it ends. 4040. I think uh both teams probably not thrilled with the outcome. All eyes though last night were on Micah Parsons. How was he going to interact with his teammates? And what would be said about Jerry Jones? And what would Jerry Jones say about Micah Parsons? Well, after the game again, it was very evident that Micah and Jerry just don't like each other. You know, honestly, I think all in all, the emotions for me being in Dallas went away the moment they traded me. The importance of the organization and that like I didn't even get to talk to my owner, the person that drafted me. I found out through my agent like I just feel like uh so to me that emotion side was pointless because the same way he called me in his office as a man, he couldn't tell me as a man. So to me that that uh that emotion side was gone. It was more about a respect factor at this point. There it's very simple, right? Dak was indispensable in my mind, right? And so yes, and Michael wasn't.
How bad did you feel? So I mean it's just numbers. It's that easy. Okay, let's first address Micah Parsons's uh take on Jerry Jones. So you demand a trade. You sit out all to summer camp, right? You lay on training tables as your brothers are going to eating nachos and telling fans in the stands, "Call me Atlanta Falcons. I want to out here so bad." And you're mad that your boss didn't kiss your butt on the way out of the building. That's what he's saying. Yeah. The other part of that, Jerry's side of that is he proved exactly that last night. Micah Parsons was actually pretty good. Uh he had 10 10 quarterback hurries.
He had a sack, quote unquote a sack. uh was a pretty good player. He did what he was supposed to do and they gave up 40 points. So, he's not wrong. I mean, having an elite pass rusher is always very beneficial and it's going to win you more games than it loses you. But at the same time, my quarterback's indispensable. I got to give him the 60 million. I can't give you the 50 million. See you, right? We have seen defensive ends wreck games, but the reality is a quarterback has such a massive impact on a game. And Dak last night, I mean, he made a bunch of huge plays and I thought that the Cowboys would give up a lot of points. I was certain the Cowboys were going to lose that game. They they didn't. And maybe that's why Mojo, who is a former Packers player. It's a sad state of affairs in Dallas these days, Mojo, as as the fans are wearing shirts after a tie, but that's just how when you haven't won a playoff game in like decades, you know, that's kind of the way it goes.
Yeah. And I mean, we got this new thing going on here at TMZ where we got this live situation going after this embarrassment that Ed is putting forth today. I think I want to go back to the old model where we just don't have him because wearing your team's colors proudly like you just won the Super Bowl after a freaking tie is embarrassing, especially when you're a one-win team. Oh, humiliion. That's why I'm wearing my Maryland stuff today. I'm not wearing my Packers stuff because in my mind, last night might as well have been a loss to the stank Cowboys. A tie 40 to 40 at that highscoring game. This is not at all what anybody wanted to see. Jerry Jones wasn't happy after this. Michael Parsons certainly wasn't happy after this. This stunk. And I would say, well, hey, you know what? Maybe we'll get this game again in the playoffs, but only the Packers will be there. So, not likely to happen. Cowboys definitely not going there. Look, I know people might be hating on Mike with Parsons.
He he had a pretty solid game last night. He's had a sack in every game, I believe, this season so far for the Packers. Granted, they've been half a sack mostly as a former defensive lineman. I'm counting it. You still got there. You still made the play. Someone else fell on it, too. Whatever. It is what it is. You still stop the play. Save that touchdown. It's just frustrating, man. Uh so, of course, you're going to sound off after the game if you're both Jerry and Micah. This was a very, very public dispute. Somebody wanted to see everyone wanted to see a win of some kind. You didn't get it. There's still going to be all those emotions left over afterwards because of that. The tie is probably only going to exacerbate all these negative feelings. As for Micah's comments, You can't expect the team to call when things were that nasty. Uh maybe some players on your team, maybe some coaches, they are going to be more inclined to understand that this is a business and people have to make business decisions.
Wouldn't have expected Jerry Jones to call. Jerry sounding off talking about Dak being more valuable. I mean, for what it's worth, Micah at his position is way better than Dak is at his position, but quarterback most important position on the field. I can understand his thoughts too. At the end of the day, I just feel so unfulfilled. Babcock, just terrible. Yeah. Yeah. And we'll say this, too. It was very clear that whatever perceived fracture that there is between Mike and the Cowboys teammates. I mean, he spent some time with Dak Prescott after the game, he was, you know, kind of dapping up a lot of the guys on the defense and even some players on the offense, too. So, I'm not sure there's a whole bunch of actual beef there between Parsons and the players. Uh, I can't say the m can't say so much though for the owner and for the player. They obviously don't like each other.
Yeah, I think he's so I don't think there's Let me let me address two things there. Number one, the reasons why you're not happy about the Packers tie is the reasons I am happy. The Packers should have been 3 and 0. They were 6 and 12 point favorites. They have the Cowboys's best player on their team. They're playing Cowboys team without CD Lamb, Tyler Booker, Cooper BB. They're missing like three or four key starters on their roster. Everybody thinks the Cowboys are gonna lose. Not a single person picked them. Of course, you're not happy with it. And of course, that's why I'm happy with it. And again, it should have that last second should have ticked off the clock. And I can't believe they didn't review that as is. So, uh, there's that part of it. And then to say that Michael Parsons, let me read you this. There were 69 offensive snaps by the Cowboys last night. He played in depending I knew that was coming. depending on on your what what stat stats uh sheet you're looking at. He played 47 of them and he only had 10 pressures.
I know that's relatively a lot for being a pass. So uh yeah, on 10 of 69 play or I'm sorry, let me 59 of 69 plays, Micah Parsons was completely irrelevant to the football game last night. In fact, he only played 47 of the 69. They had to take him off the field for that stat. Now you have to break down run plays versus pass. can't defend the ring. They paid him 47 million guy stack every gave up two first round. They give two first round picks and $47 million. Nobody's arguing that Michael Parsons is not great.
The argument is that he's not What kind of stats are you expecting from him, Ed? I'm expecting 47 The next closest guy to Michael Parsons is like 105 million behind him. You're talking money, but from statistically, what are you expecting from him? I would have expected one tackle for no game that they ruled us. That would have been my my my my expectation of him. And they take him out on run plays cuz he's a weakness against the run.
He's always got some kind of injury. My back hurts. He's in the medical tent half the game. I I I love Micah. He's a hell of a player, but what they gave up for him, what they're getting for him, and where his his career is looking. Swing over. Oh, I don't think it's happen over here. What's going on in the middle of time? Keep going. What the What is that little bun? These little bun cakes, Mojo.
Yeah, forget the Cowboys and the Packers. Who cares? A bunk cake. I will say this. I was very surprised that coming off of the Browns loss that the Packers didn't play better. Exactly. Exactly. I thought the same thing, too. And no CD Lamb either. Like that's the Cowboys best player outside of Dak and you got 40 hung on you with the the game's greatest defensive player that's ever lived and you believe in participation trophy.
Listen listen, there was a tweet last night and I love this cuz it was my joke and I wish I had made it was the Packers could really use Micah Parsons right now cuz that's what they've been saying about the Cowboys all season. The Cowboys could really use Micah Parsons and here you 40 hung on you by a CD Lambless team, dude. CD lambless. All right. Can we talk about Bad Buddy, please? Okay. Yeah. And even with that, they still tied. Yeah. Shouldn't have the I would think the rating for that game is going to be huge. I know. Speaking of ratings, that's a pretty Even if you don't like Even if you didn't care about Micah and Jerry beef, you just a game, right? Just Cowboys Packers. Like, who knows when we're when are we set to get a rematch there, though? That's Yeah. I Yeah. Playoffs. Yeah. Yeah. We'll see. They're not going though. I think Warren I think the Packers will be there.
I don't know about you guys. Cowboys definitely will not be there. Oh, we'll be there. Should we put bets down? Can someone like take note of this stuff? I better get odds. My team's one two and one right now. No, the team just tied. Equal odds. Wasn't that what you're just blabbing on about? I'm not I'm saying that you guys should be getting grilled so hard today and nobody's caring.
We are getting grilled today and we deserve it and expect good. Oh, he did so good. He had a great sack. Oh, what's the name of your group? You're you and Mojo. Emojet. Yeah, it's Emojet is breaking up here. The reason why that's the worst name of them all. All right, they turned on each other. This is getting ugly. Steve, where's the graphic for Mojad? Blow it up. There it is. See? Oh man. How can you guys argue with each other? Look, look, I have a fake smile and Ed looks like that. That's how thrilled we are to be paired up with one another.
Ed may have been a little drunk maybe in that picture. I'm not sure. I need a little That was Ed's mug shot when he got caught celebrating the Cowboys tie two months and got arrested. Oh my gosh, man. We'll see. Oh man, that was good. We'll see. All right, there we go. All right, so we'll move on. Tell you who did win. The Giants won. We'll move on here to Bad Bunny and then Babcock, we're going to come in with the announcement. Okay, coming in with the announcement. Is this probably moving down? Probably moved down, but just play off of it. That was the announcement all during the Sunday night football and then everybody's in play here. Okay. All right. Cool. Let's do it. This is a mojo or this is what uh who's this? Lucas. Young Lucas. I think my I everybody Keith. Yeah, I think everybody. Do you want to top in first? Yeah. Okay, we'll go to Lucas first.
Uh you better ride with bad money. Well, uh, a little disappointed. Bad buddy. Yeah. I don't think it was a shot at Trump though. Not the not the greatest use of words, but I don't think that's why they did it. Okay, I'm good, Steve. [Music] I mean, that's [Music] There it the announcement. It's a polarizing one. Bad Bunny performing in Santa Clara, Super Bowl 60. There are a lot of people who love it and there are a lot of people who hate that they picked Bad Bunny, Lucas, that say it's just an awful, awful choice for a Super Bowl performing. It's the biggest stage that you could ever have in music, period.
You and I talked about this last night as it was being announced and wow. I think you said, "I hope the rumors are not true." Right. And and here's the thing, okay, let's look at the Super Bowl halftime show as it is. It is the biggest entertainment moment of the year. Everyone watches it. You got 125 million people watching. More viewers than any music festival in the world. So, if we view it like that, there is no music festival on the planet that would not want Bad Bunny right now.
He is the biggest musician, the biggest act that you could possibly land. Now, that is undisputed. that is by by streams, by views, everything. Ticket sales, all that. Now, I do understand what comes with that though. I mean, getting Bad Bunny is absolutely huge for the NFL. Now, the the people who are upset with it, the critics of it will say, "Okay, let's watch this Super Bowl halftime show. I can't understand a single word that is being said. He does not have any songs that are English uh driven, right? And um this is uh you know, this is American football. This is, you know, something that everyone from all over the world is going to watch. you know, let's give them something that we bring to the table. Yes, The Weekend did it a few years ago and everything, but for the most part, that is part of um say American entertainment culture, right? Um there's going to be the back and forth on that, but where it stands is the NFL is trying to expand the sport globally. We know that with the international games, uh and especially going to South America recently.
Yep. I I think this is NFL showing yes, we are based in America, but we have a lot more to bring to the table. And if you want to do that, you get a guy like Bad Bunny. You get a guy who has hundreds of millions of fans. And while I can't sit here and name one Bad Bunny song, it does not mean that I cannot recognize that he is the biggest music act right now.
So, this is a huge gift for the NFL. While me personally, I don't agree with it. I would have done something different, I do understand the move. Yeah, it's I understand a move, too. It's about the NFL wanting to make more money. That's that's the only way I see it. It's it's it's it's not what the fans want. You're going to have most people who are going to be completely and totally unfamiliar with his music in in America. And I I just I hate it because of that. There was a million acts they could I loved couple years ago back Dr. Dre, Eminem. I love when those guys did it. Like a bunch of hit hit after hit after hit. And you say that, but then there are my parents didn't care for that one. They they never listened to that music.
They all they know at Eminem is from the headlines of the bad things that says I know I guess that's true. The reality is you've got so many people who watch this event the Super Bowl. You're never going to make 100% of the people happy, right? It's just if they were to get the Beatles holograms up there, there's going to be the old people are going to love that. But then the younger generations are like, you're forgetting about the younger. So you're never going to make anyone happy. And whether it was going to be this year, next year, or two years from now, Bad Bunny was going to headline the Super Bowl.
We knew this was coming. Yeah. Uh I I will say this too. A lot of people have pointed and said, "Oh, I think uh you know, Bad Bunny doesn't like Donald Trump and I think this is the NFL taking, you know, a jab at Donald Trump." I don't buy that at all. I think this is much entirely about money and expanding the NFL's reach. I don't think that this is the NFL taking a political uh stand. They don't want to do that. They want to grow the audience, like Lucas said. So, I think that's that's ultimately what it's about.
It's not about Donald Trump. to make an entire decision. I mean, which by the way, Bad Bunny said this has been confirmed for a while now. And he was that he really nervous about it getting leaked and it really didn't until about an hour before it was announced on NBC uh during it. Goes to show Yeah. that they keep that decision so close to the vest. They do not tell anybody. And then I think obviously you start to have to make graphics and commercials and get them ready to post on social media. know right at that point. But uh so it just goes to show too anyone who thought and there were a lot of people in this office that thought that the Taylor Swift was dropping these little you know kind of yeah Easter eggs never was going to be Taylor Swift.
They might be in the future. It just wasn't going to be this time around obviously. And the the the breakdown from that new heights episode like you got to give the Swifties credit. They are a creative bunch. They will turn anything into what they want things to mean or to be. And Taylor Swift is someone who does drop Easter eggs all the time, but because of that, it's in the back of people's heads and they think that everything is going to be a clue, right? And some things lined up to where I'm like, "Oh, maybe she's trying to throw that out there or, you know, just get gauge people's interest in this and see what the reaction will be." Like, no. I personally the things that people were really stretching and really reaching based on that new heights episode. I I did not think that was going to be absolute proof. What was there something about like sourdough or something? Sourdough Sam is the mascot for the 49ers.
49ers are the host team and she keeps hammering that she loves sour. My question for my question for T Swift though is when is going to be the right time, right? We've had this window where that was the most talked about thing. I mean, after this year, does it even necessarily make sense anymore? May not be in the league then at that time, right? They might. I mean, who knows how the Chiefs are even going to finish up this year. Obviously, it hasn't been a great start for them. The Chiefs are not making the Chiefs will not I'll tell you the Chiefs not gonna be in the Super Bowl this year.
Yeah, I I I don't think so either. But I mean, do you try to save it for when they're going to be back in? Because at this point, who knows when that's going to be, right? So, I I don't know, man. They might have missed their window on T Swift cuz if Travis is done, she's going to go back then. I don't really see that happening either, right? So, I I don't know. I don't know when. I think actually it would make more sense after because maybe she was holding on to hope that the Chiefs would be in the Super Bowl and and prepping for the halftime show while supporting your fiance. That is a lot of work. Maybe she thought, "Let's do Super Bowl 61 where he could possibly be retired.
I've done a full year off of touring." Um, she Taylor Swift is a legendary act. She's beyond the superstar act. So, you don't necessarily have to strike while the iron's hot anymore. There's going to be interest. there's going to be so much popularity around it and her and her music for the rest of her career that there's no like oh like we don't have to worry about people losing interest whenever she's willing to do it. I'm sure it just depends on if she wants to do it. Yeah. I'm trying to look where 61 is. Let's not forget there was a time with the NFL where they were really struggling after the whole Justin Timberlake and Wait, what about JLo and Shakira? Remember people weren't all big about that and that be turned out to be one of a great halftime show as well.
People were complaining about that and it turn it wasn't like the everybody no people didn't didn't want it at first and they didn't like it and ended up turn. Yeah, I know. I liked it. Well, right now that's kind of like I feel like the sentiment is behind this one is that most people kind of like are very lukewarm on it. Not there's there's definitely going to be the people that are die hards that are like extremely excited for it. But I mean we put out a poll saying like seeing like gauging the interest of like our followers or anything.
It's like very in the middle. Yeah. It's like out of like a few like almost 600 people uh in the last like 45 minutes whatever. It's like right in the middle. It is right there. So it's you know kind of like middle mediocre. It's either like no excitement or like I think that might be the thing is is but there's a ton of like bung is a big deal. A ton of people wanted so many other artists. So it's like I think there was a lot of other good choices.
Tons and tons of responses about like people really wanted Metallica. People like some Backstre, you know, a lot of uh a lot of the rumored ones people would be awesome. Yeah. And they were one of the rumored. Yeah. And obviously the Backstreet Boys are doing their thing at the Sphere. So I think that would have made sense. Next year, I looked, by the way, next year is back at SoFi Super Bowl. So, really? Yeah. Back at SoFi 61. So, interesting. I mean, so ever since Jay-Z took over, because there was that period where the NFL after Jan Jackson and Justin Timberlake, they really played it safe with their halftime performance. You had the Paul McCartney, you had Prince, you had Tom Petty, like all these, you know, legendary X superstars. But the younger generation was like snoozefest, you know, let's be completely honest with that.
But when they bring in Jay-Z and they're trying to bring it, you know, back to popular and and current and the hottest things. And if we're taking it at that very basic goal that Jay-Z had was to make this like, you know, cool again. Cool again. Yes. Bad Bunny is the perfect route to go for that single purpose. No, I don't think he's going to have to do country. Country country at one point like country or No, I mean someone like Morgan Wallen that would make a lot of sense. I think people would be they would do that. It's some like like a concert like they did like in you know I know Tennessee is building that new arena. I'm sure they'll want to run Super Bowls there soon. So I'm sure it'll be something like that.
You know that always is one of the things that they if you build a new stadium they'll give you a Super Bowl. Yeah. Cuz they're going to get want get a ton of people in there and I feel like that would be the perfect opportunity for some country artists to go. I I don't disagree with that. When Cleveland gets ours up we'll have um Bone Thugs and Harmony and MGK and Bone Thugs in Harmony. Did you read that in the comment? No. Somebody said that they should have bone thugs. Wait, really? Yeah. Oh, man. Masterpiece. Yes. Masterpiece. Bone thighs. Smart. I'm not I'm not always down for this like let's have let's have a theme of the place where this game is being played because it's it's such a it's not just an event for that city, right? But all right, Steve. Uh we're moving on to Terrence or Taylor. Let's do Terrence next. Okay. Let's do Terren next. Okay. Who's uh with Edward? Edward. Okay. Scoot this way. So, is this Oh, yeah. I'll move over a little bit.
Um, so this is Sunday. This is uh technically Sunday morning or Saturday morning? Sunday morning. The parade was Saturday and then the traffic stop was like Sunday morning 1:30 a.m. Right. Got it. which was his 38th birthday. Okay. So, it was Terence Crawford's 38th birthday. That was Saturday or Sunday, Steve. The birthday Sunday birthday. Were you coming in with the video of him with the gun or are we Yes.
Do you want me to toss it first and you come out and react to it or Sure. Okay. Oh, you guys. Okay. Yeah. So, I'll go uh I'll I'll say like welcome back to Teams and Sports. Uh it was supposed to be a great weekend for Terence Crawford, not just celebrating his birthday, but also a having a parade in his honor in Omaha. Uh well, it it ended with him being taken out of a car by cops at gunpoint. Something like that. Okay. Okay. Yeah, let's do it. Welcome back to TMZ Sports. It was supposed to be a great weekend for Terren Crawford. Not only was the boxing superstar going to celebrate his 38th birthday, but he was literally getting a parade for him in his honor after that huge win over Canelo Alvarez in his home city of Omaha.
Well, it ended with him being pulled out of his car by cops at gunpoint and the entire altercation was captured on video. Watch this. Stepping out seat belt right here on my right. I'm keep up. I'm not reaching for no gun, bro. Can I Can I move my phone? Yeah, that's crazy. So this it is about 1:30 a.m. technically Sunday morning, Saturday night into Sunday morning and obviously he uh he gets pulled over by police. How did how did he find himself there? What happened? According to the Omaha Police Department, uh uh cops observed Terrence Crawford quote unquote driving recklessly in the street and then when they pulled him over and looked into the car, they say they saw a firearm on the driver's side floorboard.
So basically near his his reach. Okay. Uh and here's quotes for safety. All four occupants of the vehicle were ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint and then they they identified him as as Terrence Crawford. uh he was issued a a citation for reckless driving and then the passenger uh one of Crawford's security members was found to be carrying illegal firearm. So uh they said everybody who was involved was legally carrying firearms. Um, and now they've launched an internal investigation because I guess the optics of this are not right.
And he is so bel I mean he's I think Terren Crawford obviously really popular everywhere but he is that's that's his city, right? I mean he has he has remained there. He's never left that that's his spot. That's why they had the the damn parade for him. Let's be honest. I I think if ultimately this is like the cops say it is that they seemingly didn't do anything wrong here, right? You pull someone over, it's a traffic stop, and then you see a gun on the floor and there's a couple people in the car. I think it's it's, you know, it's kind of standard procedure to take everybody out of the car.
Now, everyone in there, uh, Terrence, if you know anything about Terrence, he is somebody who really likes firearms. So, I I think the gun wasn't illegal ultimately, and that's why no one was charged for the gun. He's given his ticket, and everyone goes on their way. So, nobody ultimately got hurt here. I think like Ed said, ultimately the mayor and the police chief, they just want to make sure that everyone feels comfortable with what happened here and nothing was done out of line or against the police department's policies. But I I don't I don't look for anyone to get in trouble. For what it's never seen a response like this, though, the mayor himself released a statement on the matter and said that he was actually at Terren's birthday party in the evening in addition to the before. Yeah. like literally minutes before Terence Crawford gets arrested and pul arrested gets pulled over and pulled out of his car at gunpoint, he's hanging with the mayor at a birthday party.
So, and that's why he had to respond. Ed, it's just a crazy wild optics and and I think like you said, at the end of the day, uh this is probably standard operating procedure. When you see a car full of guns and people in it, you got to be as careful as possible. And we'll see what happens though with the investigation. But yeah, there was a lot of people talking about this on Sunday morning. Yeah. I mean, but it sounds like everyone did the right thing here, right? It's just kind of an unfortunate circumstance. Cops got to do what they do. Exactly. Terren's team's got to do what they do. The person filming the whole thing in the back seat. That was a great idea. You never know what's going to happen. Everybody seems to fall in line a little bit more when that red light is on.
So, it all seemed, you know, and I think that's the point for the body cameras, too, Mojo, right? It's like, you know, that's that's why it's good that the departments have the body cameras now. I think it keeps everybody honest. It protects the people who are dealing with the cops. It protects the cops, too, in many situations. So, I think, yeah, it's it's good that these things are recorded. And uh you know, with hindsight, these are always easy situations to to say, "Okay, it's it's Terence Crawford. Why you got a gun on him? He's not going to do anything." Well, at the time, you probably don't know it's Terren Crawford, right? So, it's it's complicated. And uh ultimately everyone went home. Nobody got hurt. That's most important here. And Terren Crawford, he's got the money to pay the ticket.
So he'll be okay. Does he? I think so. I think I heard he just did pretty well with some event he had. It's okay. It's small money, I suppose. But that's good for him. Although supposedly Canelo got paid a lot more than than Terrence did for the fight. Well, maybe. But, uh, Bud definitely came out reputationwise, yes, better. And not to say he did bad, he just didn't do nearly as well as Canelo moneywise.
I mean, like, it it's just weird when you think about it, especially in boxing. Yeah. How you can be the absolute best fighter. Yeah. But like the fifth or sixth biggest star. So true. Yeah. I mean, the biggest star in boxing is moving that money. How you promote yourself, how you talk, the the Yeah. Uh, well, just think about that. I mean, Jake Jake Paul and Tren Crawford 41 million. I mean, I'm sorry. Canelo and Terence Crawford 41 million. Jake Paul's the biggest star in boxing. I don't I wasn't even saying that because Bud is just I'm I'm you know. No, it's it's true. Modest and humble and quiet and in boxing like does not it doesn't matter. But the knock but the knock on butt is he doesn't promote. He doesn't No, I know. I I agree with that Keith too. That actually probably is hurtful to him. I mean, there are guys who were there. If you you could look right now at the top, you know, 10 pound-for-pound list, there'll be a guys on there that most people will have never even heard of.
Yeah. But you know what? If you're bud and you don't want to quote unquote sell out or, you know, ram this down people's throat, you're already making enough money. I mean, some people don't care about an extra 10 million. He already has 100, you know, whatever at that point. No, that's I think it's a great point. He doesn't I and I totally buy and believe him when he says I I remember asking him two days after Canelo the Canelo fight, hey, what are you going to buy? And he said, I nothing. I got everything I need. So he like that's the kind of guy he is. Very simple guy. Yeah, he is like I love that too. I mean I think that's so cool. He literally said and I nothing. I got everything I need. So it's not to that point too. For those guys that make that much more money that are promoting it like that, their expenses are way higher because of how much they have to invest back into themselves. So at the end of the day, you might come out even or even ahead by now, right? Oh, I think he does, Mojo.
Like you look at someone like Floyd Mayweather and I mean Floyd's just spending so much makes so much but spending so much money too. You know what I mean? And uh obviously that's kind of a you know bud living a different lifestyle. Both are cool. Like, you know, you deserve Yeah. I mean, it's not like Floyd hasn't earned his money.
He obviously has. Um, okay, Steve. So, we're going on to Ryder Cup. What a turn on that one. Let's do Ryder Cup here. Okay. Uh 1513. So, so the uh the US comes storming back but uh comes up short. Yep. And then you'll toss to the European team having some fun with President Trump. And then Trump responded on Truth Social. Okay. And so what are we saying? Because the drink wasn't thrown, right? What is it? Just spilled if I were to bring that up. Oh, you didn't see that? Spilled. No. No. So the guy Oh, did it not even go on her? What's that? It didn't even get The drink didn't even go on. No, it did. But the guy has it in his hands and if you watch the clip, the they they're they're chanting a a pro Rory chanting. It's in Rory's in your head. Rory's in your head. So, he was like celebrating with them. So, that part of the equation made no sense, but he has it in his hand.
If you watch a slow-mo replay, somebody comes underneath it and like hits it out of his like, "Hey, like I don't know if it was accidental or like maybe on purpose like I'm going to throw this out of your hand into his hand." And yeah, you can see it comes flies and it goes over her head. So, that's why people are like it was it wasn't thrown. Okay. So, I might not even bring that up then, Steve. You can say she was hit with a drink, but she was hit with a drink, right? Hard to tell if it was intentional or like a rowdy crowd that it's crazy that golf even got to that atmosphere of where drink waste management. People hate it. Waste management. So people are throwing drinks. Kind of crazy like that. Yeah. I think this just happened to be that it was at like the New York City fans basically.
Yeah. Now, having it in America is definitely recipe for it to get a little rowdy, but sometimes it like those things are fun like when it's, you know, it's like that type of tournament. Granted, it some of it did get a little out of hand towards especially towards Rory, right? But Rory gives into it like he like makes, you know, he gives all the people all the ammo they need to like to do that type of stuff. But I do love a good good drink throwing. Yeah, it was it was it was fun and they were Europe was dominating and then again and it's kind of well Tommy Fleetwood did had an awesome tournament. Scotty Shuffler kind of you know speaking of athletes getting arrested and talking to cops Scotty Shuffler didn't do too too well. Um I I mean I I I do love the Ryder Cup, but it was it was exciting on Sunday.
It was it was a lot of fun. So much. Okay. All right. Let's do this. Uh, Steve, what are we doing here? So, you your sound is Rory and the guys singing after and pseudo trolling President Trump and then Trump responded, which is just his his post from from truth. Okay. Oh wow. Okay, let's do three and a half with a goodbye and then we will do a short Taylor after. So three and a half with a goodbye. Three and a half with a goodbye and then we'll do Taylor and squeeze it in elsewhere. Okay. Uh yeah. Anyone have thoughts on this? That's all regard anything. I mean, yeah, I always got something to say. Uh, I Steve, we're tossing to Rory, right? Yeah, you could toss to Rory and then you could probably give it to Ed right after.
Okay. Toss to Rory and then Are you okay with that? Go right to the Trump post and then go to Ed. Yep. Okay. Tossing to Rory and then you'll I'll bring up Trump. Trump responded. Exactly. And then you'll go to Ed. Cool. Okay. Right. Welcome back to TMZ Sports. The RDER Cup was about as spicy a golf tournament as you will ever see. Now started with Europe dominating the US. They were they were kicking ass on Friday, but the US comes storming back and on Sunday this thing was super close. But nonetheless, the European team led by Rory Mroy, they survived. They end up winning. They end up beating the Americans 15-13. Obviously, this is a a a golf tournament that is played every other year.
So, now the Americans will have to wait until 2027 in Ireland to try and get some revenge. Now, because again, this was such a rowdy golf tournament, you had taunts, players being taunted, you had a drink that, you know, may or may not intentionally have been directed or thrown at Rory Mroyy's wife. So, after the Europeans won, they were in a mood to do a little bit of trolling. And we know who loves golf more than anybody. The president of the United States, Donald Trump. Donald Trump who was at Beth Page to watch some of the RDER Cup being played earlier in the 20.
So, Europe wins and well, President Trump, he got trolled. Are you watching? Are you watching Are you watching? Are you watching Donald Trump? Are you watching Donald Trump? [Music] [Applause] So there you see Rory Maroy and you see all of his teammates behind him there. I think it was a good naturatured ribbing. I don't think it was anything that anyone needs to get all ultra upset about, but they asked a question and I I don't know if Trump didn't get the trolling aspect of it.
He answered the question. So he goes to Truth Social and he says, "Yes, I'm watching. Congratulations." So there you go from the president of the United States. Congrats to the European team, Ed. Yeah, the the trolling I think is almost necessary at this point. You touched on it. The I've never seen pro golfers turn around to a crowd and scream, "Shut the bleep up." Like, in a literal tournament, and that's how bad things got at these at these events. I It was unlike anything I'd ever seen before. So, uh I don't know if the low road is what you would call this, but man, Rory did everything he could to take the low road. I mean, he he hung a sign over Bryson Dashambo's name after hung the European flag over it.
He's making this video where he's throwing Donald Trump. I like like they sent it. Yeah. Let me hold on. Let me I'll rephrase. I don't like the drinks and nobody should be throwing anything at anybody's wife. And by the way, it's it's kind of hard to Edward's explained this to me before. It's kind of hard to see, but the drink was in somebody's hand and then somebody else seemingly hit that person's hand. So, was it intentional? Was it not? We just don't know. So, nobody should do anything to anybody's family or why. That's that's way out of bounds and crazy. Don't do that. But I like the I like the kind of the the trash talk, especially in this situation where it's US versus Europe. It's f I don't I thought it was fun.
I do too. As long as you don't cross the lines, which I think some of it did, but man, the playful banter and seeing Roy Mackoy screaming at fans, seeing them back. I That's what sports is. It's not supposed to be a library. I I agree. And now, and I know we said we got to wait till 2027, but there's going to be so much juice when the American team, right, has to go to you. This is going to be fun, Mojo.
Dude, this is this is what needed to happen. We got some friendly trash talk. The auntie was up. Now this is going to be exciting. As you might know, I'm not the biggest fan of golf, but now this gets me excited. The team feel I love every bit of this, all of it, except uh team America losing, of course. Donald Trump clearly not phased by this. He's heard worse. If anything, he actually might have been complimented that they mentioned him at all, you know. So, there might have been that. I'm sure there was a lot of Americans that didn't appreciate this, but that's what rivalries are about.
Um, I definitely would have sounded off if someone purposely or accidentally spilled a drink on my wife. It probably would have been way worse, but but this was fun, man. They they took it in stride and now we're going to be excited for the next one. Mission accomplished. That's it. Cannot wait for 2027. We're getting our revenge. Uh, until then, though, we are out of time. Have a great night. We'll see you tomorrow. No, no, no. It is It is so strange how much the golf community fights this. Yeah. I don't know why it's so enjoyable. Like, and and I get like it it sucks to try to make a three-foot putt while people are screaming like Happy Gilmore, but like that's what sports is, man.
Like talking trash and and being at events where 70,000 people drinking and and I agree. I'm better than you, better than me. Well, the closest thing I've seen to this in terms of like the golfing world is obviously like waste management. Like the people's open, right? And it's like I've, you know, hole 16 like the enclosed thing where people like they make a hole and almost start throwing trash or whatever. Even then cuz I when I've sat there you still have like you know the respect of the game. People are putting a two three foot putt or whatever and everybody's still quiet then the moment after it's like everybody can erupt and roar and do whatever. And I think that part of it is fine like and I think more of that should be included because I mean that that waste management is the probably the most like visited golf tournament in the in the the entire PGA tour schedule, right? Yeah, I'm with you.
Don't Don't swing. Don't Don't cheer scream during someone's back swing. Don't verbally abuse. Don't throw things like when they're walking down and you're like wanting to like trip like that's like that's good for the game. I agree, you know. I I completely agree. And for a for a for a sport that has always talked about wanting to grow and get bigger and have more ratings and have more people care about it. It's like that's how you get it. Like you get it by having people care about people too.
You want everyone wants a younger audience. Well, they've been doing a good job with that with like a bunch of the YouTubers and stuff doing like the YouTube go like Bryce the Shambos. Oh, he's done his his YouTube content is is really great. Like I I was watching the other day he's got some series now where he'll go to like a public course and try and beat the course record one shot. Like it's a lot of fun. No, I mean it makes the game it makes you know makes these athletes like a little bit more uh it humanizes them a little bit more which has been huge for it. I agree. So I mean the game that game the golf is growing at a unprecedented you can probably you know all trace all this back obviously the Tiger Woods and and why all these guys like Bryson Dambo are even golfing what's going on MLB playoffs playoffs you get guards not one of you for Ed I I had to pry a little bit but Cleveland Guardians um that was of a September um now there's someone who is in this office who has actually watched every single Guardians game this season um I just thought maybe we could ask him uh what he thought about who was it.
Don't out people like about the Guardians going into October because I think that's a really cool downs 15 and a half games at the beginning of game. Yeah. Playoff not you basically just said not in real life. No, he would watch it on delay when he gets to it. Okay, that's even sadder. What delay? Not calling sporting Guardians games and then watching Oh, that's tough. Oh man, there's a reason this person isn't stepping forward, right? Slow. Uh, how about the Yankees though? Oh, yeah. From the guy who records every They did, but they uh they didn't win the division. The the Blue Jays didn't lose wouldn't lose. And neither every guard game this year. Jim, what are you doing here? What do you mean? playoff. It's It's Jim. It's It's Jim. 162 Guardian. He did not miss 162. I pretty much watched every single inning of this team this season and it makes no sense that they made the playoffs. I am pumped about it. It makes absolutely no sense. Basically, a guy we traded away months ago is still in our top three or four in home runs on the team.
Like, it it's amazing. I'm I'm excited about it, but makes no sense. So, how many Wait, you're down 15 games in July. How in the world? Two and a half games back at the end of July. At the end of July. That's an amaz What an what a storm. Enough about the baseball. Let's talk about what's going on in your life, Jim. You are recording Guardians games and watching them after the fact. After work. I don't want to miss a game.
I I don't want to miss an inning. I am a dedicated fan. That you are. That's respect. That is the most respectable. When I'm at the gym, I have it on in the background. Who are the Guardians again? Time well spent. I know. Why? Why record the game? You know, you could just listen to the game because if I can't listen to it act like if I'm not able to actively and then I get home after my chores and errands and stuff like that. And God forbid you miss one scintillating pitch. Well, imagine if I did this season. I would have been left out. Maybe one day you'll find a passion, Charles. Gosh. So, so going into I mean we know what the Tigers are like, but how far do you think the Guardians can actually get? Is this a World Series team? Bill Nye said they're a World Series team. I got to go with him. Realistically, I think that they put up a good fight against the Tigers and then as usual, they may go all the way to ALCS and then get their butts kicked by the Yankees cuz that's how it always goes for us.
That sounds good. Yeah, why not ride the ride the ride and take it all the way to the World Series? Jim, have you considered a hobby like I don't know like bike riding or chess club or something something more exciting than watching every single inning of Guardians baseball. I love can't think of can't think of anything better. Really concerned. Really concerned. All right. That was baseball with Jim. The new new segment. Lucas, we've got to do quick two minutes. Uh, Taylor Swift, two minutes. Oh, we never did that, huh? No, we weren't sure if we needed it or not. Yeah. Okay, two minutes. Uh, okay. Hold on. Uh, let's look at the Let's look at what we got here.
So, Steve, what? Uh, Taylor Swift, easy segue. We're going to do this after Bad Bunny. So, Bad Bunny segment would have just aired and then someone that some thought might be playing in the halftime show. All right. But the question is whether she was at the game on on Sunday. Okay. All right. This is going to be quick, right? Because there's really not a whole bunch right here. Okay. B2. Okay. Move that way. Okay. Right there. Okay. All right. And we'll go right to Lucas. All right. From the guy who is performing the Super Bowl halftime show to the person that everybody would have rathered perform the Super Bowl halftime show, Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift had a busy weekend. She was Saturday afternoon in Santa Barbara at her good friend Selena Gomez's wedding. Star-Sstudded affair. I mean, bunch of big celebrities were at the wedding. T Swift then hops on a plane, Lucas, and she flies to Kansas City as she watches her fiance, almost said boyfriend there as she watches her fiance Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes play and beat the Ravens in what was a really big football game.
Yeah, we didn't see her though. She was there. We didn't see her. You got to take her word for it. There's no footage of it or anything like that, but Taylor's family was there. And usually when they're around, you know that Taylor is not. I think people, tell me if I'm wrong, people saw her father, Scott, in the luxury suite with Travis's mom, Donna. Yeah. And uh I I mean, it's we haven't seen her this year. Right. Taylor brother as well. We have not seen her at all on television this year at the games at least. And part of that a lot of people think is a security thing um given how things are going right now in this country. But then also there's speculation that this could also have something to do with and this might get really in the weeds for those who only follow sports.
But the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni case right now is very ugly and um there's speculation that Taylor Swift could be thrown into this and could be served to actually be a part of Right. And and to that point, Lucas, we did a story last week that somebody was arrested at Travis Kelce's home in Kansas, right over the the border of Kansas City. Uh he uh this guy was arrested, a process server trying to serve Taylor Swift at Travis's home. I was told, you remember a couple weeks ago when Taylor was seemingly seen sneaking into the game, the football game behind that shield, that partition, right? That I was told that at least part of the reason was because she was trying to avoid this process server. There was a cut off date where if she is not served by that particular, you know, XYZ date that she cannot be served anymore. So uh you know, is that true? That's again, that's what people around her, people would be in a position to know.
That's what they've told us. But the bottom line is, like Lucas has said, we have not seen her on television even a single time this NFL season, but she's there at 220. Yeah. Yeah. I It's very strange. And the and we've been told, by the way, that uh it's it's not that anyone at the networks have been told not to show her. They just or there's any agreement that's been made. That's not the case. We've been told. It's just they don't know where she is. They they if they can't see her, if they don't have eyes on her, they obviously can't show her on television. They just don't know. So, it's it's very uh very interesting. Today was media day, right? For basketball, for Lakers and all that stuff. Oh, is that I didn't even know that. Is that right? Yeah. Cav, everybody at media day today. NFL NBA season is We're seeing KD in a Houston.
I hear they're planning on signing or he's planning on signing an extension uh with them because he's on the I know his KD because he's on his last year of his contract and I think they're renegotiating a long-term contract with him for just beyond Houston obviously. Yeah. I don't I don't I don't know if KD can can lead a team anymore. I'm also like people are saying that I mean they they lost uh what's it uh Van Vleet, right? Uh he's done. KD is I mean still elite but like he's not gonna he's not going to carry your team to a championship anymore and he can't play that many minutes like Right.
Exactly. Smokey kind of just got his first comment because two words suck it just said Jim does have a hobby now as a cat owner. Yeah, it is. Uh Jim loves Smokey very much. We all do. And um yeah, I know. I I love like b I there's nothing better than have you know summer have a baseball game in the background. Like I I love that just a hater. Charles is tripping. Charles was sending me Yankee stuff on on Slack weirdly at when he should be working. No, we it was like Let me see. Let's see when he slept. He I always try to watch my the Nationals the beginning of the season and then I realize who the do who the Dodgers are. Who's the Dodgers playing? Who they who are they matching? Um let's see. Is it the Reds? The Reds. The Reds, man. Yeah, Reds. The Mets. The The New York Mets just an absolutely horrific collapse and just an oh, despicable performance on Sunday with the season on the line.
Just embarrassing. Juan Sodto watching the playoffs this year from home, but he's got a lot of money at least. Join the Monday Night Football.
